you're right, only positions that matter are QB and coach. impact of anyone else on the field in football pales in comparison to these 2 people.
Left tackle, you know, that position that most often protects those expensive QB’s is damn important. That’s why they are the highest paid offensive linemen in the game. Nowhere near QB money of course.
because they are nowhere near as important as a QB...you can have the best OL in the world but if the QB it sucks it doesnt really matter, that's the entire point. football is like 90% about the QB (and coach) right now...if u don't got either u dont have a chance regardless of whoever u have at the 50 other positions.

The Buccaneers did not win the Super Bowl last year because of Tom Brady...it was because the Chief's two best O-line got hurt and the Chiefs could not stop the Bucs pass rush. That showed how important and O-line is when a QB has no time......
Oh yeah, it was mainly the Bucs D and the offensive line injured. Chiefs were the superior team, though I do think Arians is a great coach. Brady did have fairly good numbers though.
Brady changed the whole culture of that team. He's one of the best leader in all sports.

I think Arians began to change it, like he did with the lowly Cards, taking a laughing stock team to great records in each season with an old Carson Palmer.
He just had Winston the year before and was able to get Brady and Gronk. He is very good at working with older QBs.
But I agree. He is one of the best leaders in sports.

A great defense with average QB play can get a championship. Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams have rings.

anomalies and corner cases are a terrible way to make your point, and they certainly don't disprove mine.

The Niners reaching the Super Bowl was certainly an anomaly.

It can be done (Garoppolo). But you need a strong supporting cast.

and got beat by a team w/ a better QB...then proceeded to trade THREE first rounders to move up to draft a QB despite having Garoppolo
not sure what people are disputin here...the NFL is all about the QB and its more about the QB now than its ever been.

I'm not disputing anything lol. QB is the most important position in sports.
You can win with an average to below average QB. But the odds are extremely stacked against you. Unless you have a defense like the '85 Bears/'00 Ravens defense...the odds are very low.

That's not really true for QBs. NFL teams are very hesitant to move on from QBs unless they get hurt or their play completely falls off a cliff. The chances of Josh Allen getting cut during this deal are very low.

The NFl
Is not all about the QB. There are plenty of mediocre QBs with Super Bowl rings. Is it a lot easier to win with a great QB, yes, but there have been teams that won big on account of having great defense. And a good QB is going to look bad against great pass rushing teams if he doesn’t have an offensive line.

Outside linebacker, but I was just teasing you. There are two Josh Allens. The one getting the money is the young quarterback. He's really good...not as good as Mahomes or Rodgers, but probably top 5 and still only 25

About 20% of Super Bowls have been won by a team with nothing better than an average QB. Yes, the QB is most important by far, but don’t pretend that you must have a great QB absent of other things.
