I think that offer would go over about as well as if i asked my wife if its cool that i give her sister some burn in garbage time.

Bulls renounced Valentine, would be a fit here:

Can’t we find a version of Denzel Valentine who’s good at basketball?

Other than as a stopgap if DDV can't play at the beginning of the season, where would he get minutes?

Why would he need to get minutes?

ETA: Not to imply it would be impossible, just see no need to pencil the last couple additions to the roster into the rotation. Injuries happen, long season, etc. Not in my top couple choices but I could see him playing better in Bud ball than he has thus far.

I think we probably have enough wings at this point. If we were to add anyone else, it's a big man IMO. But I would very gladly drop Bryant or Diakite to bring in Valentine.

I'd really like another guy who can defend forwards but also isn't a disaster on more than 1 dribble. Sadly everybody could use this player. I think Diakite is the best hope of the guys we've currently got, unless Hood makes a big comeback.

Bonga fills the space for me but doesn't seem like any NBA decisionmakers agree.

I'm very disappointed from Bryant's last outings, but given the experiences we've had from previous players coming over from Euroope, he's probably at least compareable to Valentine. If anyone is the odd man out, it should be Diakite. He's really not shown anything besides production in the G-League (which I do value, I just don't think it's enough given his age).

I saw a tweet a couple days ago that Ersan was coming back but haven't seen anything since. Maybe it was a joke idk. But yea unless they really trust Diakate they could use a depth big guy, such as Ersan. Yea unlikely a playoff contributor but you'll probably end up needing at some point in the reg season.

I'm still buying on Mamadi's tools and skill progression. NBA game was a little fast for him mentally last year, but I think that changes with reps and study.

I don't see what his role is going to be in the NBA that's screaming starter to me based on his skillset and developement curve. Yes he could be a useful bench player, but multiple years of developing to eventually get a bench player or not doesn't scream useful to me for a team aspiring championships. After seeing his G-League performances I expected a much better shot blocker, but his timing just isn't there. He's got great touch especially on 2-pointers, but that's pretty irrelevant cause he's not about to get good enough to shoot fadeaways vs. NBA competition. He's got a decent handle for a big, but again he's not about to handle the ball.
I can see some bridge skills to eventually make him a lot more useful than the average role player, but I don't think it's feasable to expect him to break through the average role player threshold anytime soon. And that is still far away from the championship playoff contributer role. Honestly I would just cut bait. I'm still open to take a chance on youth, but the floor should still be useful to this team or the ceiling so high that taking a chance is worth it eventually. I don't think either is the case with Mamadi.

At this point I would probably call Millsap. I know he's pretty cooked but I think he could still provide good minutes if you save him for the postseason. I don't know what he's looking for moneywise, though.

I wouldn't. He's awful. At least with the other two there is potential upside.

Used to be intrigued by him. Saw him take a hero ball 3 at the end of the game and airball it wide right. No one on the team could look at him and that was enough for me too
