I can see why we are waiting to sign JV and Jordan back. We possibly have replacements who are younger and cheaper

Jaden so polite at the end of the interview: "Have a good day". We sure this the same dude that was calling Wiseman sewer trash in high school and picking up techs in college LOL

I grew up out there. That sure brought back great memories. I was baptised out there too. (not literally)
Ant, a great player, a great interview too.

I love Suggs. I don’t think he’ll be a top ten NBA player, but he’s a winning player. Defense, effort, no fear. So good.

He actually looks shorter and less athletic than I thought but he gives effort. I definitely see an elite role player. Cunningham looked way shorter than listed and not good.
Kuminga looks like a low bb iq chucker, maybe it’s not such a big loss.

I was thnking the same thing. I want him playing everyday next to people better than him. He looks like he is more than ready to handle full NBA minutes as a reserve.
I think it almost impossible to acquire 2 guys non drafted, within 2 years that could be potential starters or top 8 rotation guys. Only a great front office could do that. This Rosas might be sneaky as a fox.

For whatever criticisms we may have of Rosas and his staff, they seem to be excellent at pinpointing and evaluating fringe talent who have the potential to be legitimate contributors.

That's how he looked in the majority of his G League games.

Don't judge him for a little trash talk in at a sporting event. I know you're not. I loved it too. I saw all I needed to see until I see different. Our nation is starved for more of that genuineness.
Look at the 3 players that played great tonight...McD, Wright, Nowell. Most here know I was crazy about getting Nowell late like we did. Reid too. Nowell just needs minutes to help his confidence and he'll be a killer.

Nathan Knight looks impressive.
Jaylen is a sniper, but we knew that & Jaden honestly reminds me of Isaac, idk if it's because the height & the hair, but they have similar builds and similar game.

Only one game but Knight does look like he could fit well. McDaniels looks like he has room to and ability grow his game. Nowell looked good.

Re: Summer League Game Thread: Wolves vs. Spurs (6PM CST/ESPNU)
So I saw most of the game (missed the end because of my DVR and the late start,) I thought Nowell looked solid as a PG. His passing was crisp, confident in his attack, and his ball handling seems a bit better. He was a little to streaky from distance, and I want him getting into more of a pass first mentality, but I can see him running the PG with the second unit and doing well.
MCD is a beast. I said it last season and will say it again, best non obvious draft pick of the last 10 plus years. The true steal of the draft. There is a reason every team is calling about him. I see this kid going places.
Knight was solid and a few other guys played well. I cannot remember his name but he is a sharpshooter who I think was 25 (not sure,) he impressed. Looking forward to seeing which of these potential third stringers brings consistency.
I like what Finch said, there is a big quality gap between Summer league and the preseason, and yet another gap between preseason and regular season. I want Knight to be the next Naz, but I need to see a lot more before I buy it.

How can anyone not love this kid?!?
EDIT: Maybe some of you younger or overseas posters are scratching your head over his line about being “baptized in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.” This is a shout out to Prince’s ‘80’s movie “Purple Rain,” where he tells Appolonia that she needs to “purify herself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka.” Very cool.

I went back and looked, and Naz signed a two-way deal on July 5th, and after a great Summer League performance, he got a full contract by July 17.
Work hard for the next two weeks, Nathan Knight! You may get paid!
