You guys that watch this game live are better than me, i had to record and fast forward through the second unit so I mostly missed out on Timma, mostly thinking who is that old guy out there.

I think the most impressive thing tonight was Suggs rebounding. He is solid and that is a skill from day 1. He looked pretty good all over the court. I hope we get him a good pick and partner for him, he looks like he will be a be beast with some screens.

Hampton is so fast, but man he looked out of control a lot. My favorite play of the night was Wagner feeding Hampton in transition, on the reverse lay up where he switched hands.

Wagner looked rough early. I thought he always knew where to be, but he just looked like a....well.. a rookie. His 3 looks more mechanical than I remember from Michigan, not too worried, i think he will eventually be a very good shooter. Looked like a good passer, but not so sure about him on ball.

It might be a **** show this year, but it should be a fun time. Not sure about the 3. guess just play Franz and Okeke. I don't know what we are going to do with cole when Fultz gets back. Fultz and Suggs need to be our 2 lead guards.

Also pretty impressed with how easily Kuminga got to the rim. Being pretty against Kuminga this whole offseason, i was not expecting that showing.
Moody also looked pretty good. He put the ball on the court and got all the way to the rim, and was thinking yikes if he has that he might really turn into something.

Guys, how many layups did Jalen miss? It's going to be a PROBLEM for the league when he learns to make those. could've had 30 tonight. Kid has "IT". He's a starting guard on a good team and we got him. LFG!!!!!!!!

He does need to dial it back.

The range of emotion from the terrible turnover from Cole to the block by Suggs on the 2-on-1 was a little much for a summer league game, lol.

Did anyone watch the energy Sengun played with? I was hoping to see that out of Franz.

I thought Wagner got a lot better defensively as the game went on. He seemed a little overwhelmed/dead-legged defensively early on, but I thought he made some nice adjustments in the second half.

He had two really great defensive possessions in the 4th quarter that weren't rewarded.

The 3PT shot wasn't there at all, everything was short. Makes you wonder if he's just not in ideal conditioning just yet.

How do you see him working with this roster in the future? I was hopeful that he could play SF but I don't think he can from what we just saw. He looks like a PF. If JI ever gets healthy, did we just waste the 8th pick on a backup PF?

A lot of times rookies and bad guards will throw up some prayers around the rim that have no chance. Jalen's looked fine, just a bit off tonight.

It's only one Summer League game but I've cringed through a lot of bad takes at the rim from Magic rookies for a long time now, so I consider myself an expert.

If Suggs does blow, I just hope the magic can find him a suitable running mate or mates.

RJ... somebody needs to finally teach him not to leave his feet without a plan every time he's in the lane.

Cole... about what I expected. Just not a fan of his game.

Suggs... don't know if he'll ever be an elite scorer but he's a damn baller.

Franz... I'lll give him a mulligan.

I thought he played well enough tonight, but he doesn't have any value skills. I don't really think he is worth a guaranteed deal.

I would have still drafted Bouknight or Moody at 8. What if Cole regressed from game 1 of the summer league? and Cole get's buried on the depth or traded and Bouknight or Moody show they better than Cole? Davion Mitchell was on the board too and he's looking so good so far. I think Bouknight, Moody and Mitchell were the best players on the board at 8 and I would have taken Bouknight or Moody.

First off, I love the energy and guts that Mosley has. Putting Cole, Suggs and RJ on the floor at the same time is an example of something I badly wanted to see coming into the season. Seeing in SL on Game 1 was fantastic. Not sure what to make of it, but it's a start. There were a bunch of times where we had good ball movement.

Suggs is the defender I've always wanted and tried to convince myself we had in Oladipo and Gordon. THANK YOU MASAI!
Offensively, it seems that Mosley clearly explained to Suggs what his role in the scoring hierarchy is. He had the right level of aggressiveness and initiative.

Cole's handle has to tighten up. I like his 3 pt shot when he has his feet set.

RJ has to learn when to speed up and when to slow down. I was hoping for more maturity in that regard, but it doesn't seem apparent yet.

Wagner played like a second round pick would. I was a big fan of Trey Murphy, so seeing him go off kinda stings.

I think he can play SF.

Kuminga, who is obviously far more athletic and much stronger than Wagner is, got his water shut off a few times in 2nd half/4th quarter (some highly questionable bail out fouls called too) by Franz.

I do wonder if some of these guys just aren't in optimal playing shape just yet. It's been like 5 months since they played competitive 5 on 5?

AND as of right now, he is my favorite player in the entire 2021 draft.
