He played mostly on ball last season. I have him listed as a PG because that’s how he plays. Just because he’s a good shooter doesn’t make him not a pg.

Did you watch him last year? When he started getting playing time he ran the same sets as Ellington. Casey even commented on how he was working with Ellington to learn footwork. One of the beat guys talked about how the team was molding him as a potential Ellington replacement. Are you thinking of Saben Lee?

Glad Frank got a contract. He should do well next to Cade or Killian.

Frank Jackson is a shooter. Wether or not you want to label him as a pg or sg, his job is to score when he hits the floor.

Re: Welcome back Frank Jackson
Diallo needed to be signed last as he'll eat up any remaining cap space, but had a lot cap hold.

Re: Welcome back Frank Jackson
I wouldn't be surprised to see us let Diallo go. We have a pretty full roster as it stands and he might want too much money. I wouldn't mind him back on a team friendly deal though. He's likely not starting for us and will play 20 minutes a night maybe behind Cade and Bey.

Re: Welcome back Frank Jackson
I've been on record saying, if it was an either/or type scenario I'd much prefer bringing back Frank over Hamidou.
Cade/Hayes/Cojo/Lee
Bey/J Jax/ F Jax
Grant/Sekou/Livers
Olynyk/Lyles/
Stewart/Okafor
This is such a guard heavy roster.
Short of it resulting in Detroit wasting a draft pick to initially bring him here, I honestly don't currently see any spot/need/desire for Diallo. The 15th roster spot should really go to a frontcourt player.
Even if Detroit winds up moving J Jax for a PF/C, I still don't see much of a reason to bring back Diallo. Barring a barrage of injuries, i just don't see a path to minutes for Diallo.

I'd be very surprised. I think Weaver has prioritized Diallo and plans to pay him. His skill-set is important for this team to succeed. He's a 30-35 mpg player on this team. I guess we'll see.
