Remind me of the last time either of Ben or Draymond did the following in a single game at anytime, SL or otherwise:
- faked a pass to take a pull up mid range jumper
- showed some post footwork getting his man off his feet then scoring
- trailing the play pull up 3
- back door cut to lay in
- a floater in the lane
Scottie just did that in his first game...he's raw, yes but his offensive upside imo is MUCH better than those 2.
You treat like Dray is some sort of mediocre player
He put up 12-14-3-3 in his first SL. Hopefully Barnes keeps shooting it and make plays on both ends
Not once did I ever say he's mediocre but hey you gotta play it up right?!
Pretty nice stat line, Barnes' was 18-10-5-2...more points and assists....also probably worth mentioning Barnes is also doing this THREE YEARS YOUNGER than Draymond was. I mean if we can fast forward 3 years, add all that development between now & then I'm going out on a limb here but wouldn't surprise me if Scottie had the ability to put up even more points and even more assists than Draymond did there but sure it's probably an outlandish thing to say I think he has more offensive potential even he did score more despite the age gap but whatever I like Scottie's offensive upside more somehow equates to someone else being mediocre.
