In these types of drills you really want to see the ball not touching the rim. But good to see nonetheless. I'd be disappointed if we traded him.

If Ben had Tyrese workethics to improve his shooting he would be atleast a 70% ft shooter nowadays( and have a decent 3 ball).

Lonzo had an ugly jumper and completely revamped his stroke in 3 years. Simmons just doesnt care.

If there's any way to hold onto this kid I hope Morey finds it.

I don't think it would be smart to trade him now...in my mind he is the only real building block of this team next to Embiid. Trade everything else before him.

If Ben had Tyrese's work ethic, he'd legit be in the GOAT conversation. But alas, here we are looking to trade him.

Lonzo had an aesthetically ugly jumper that was still cold cash in HS and college. Lonzo shot over 41% from 3 on huge volume at UCLA and lit his HS league on fire from deep, he was always a very good shooter and just needed to make his form more efficient.

Simmons has always had a horrible jumper look-wise and results-wise. I'm also frustrated as hell about his attitude but no point in making up comparisons that make a caricature of the situation.

Future star. His development curve is insane while still only 20 years old.

Maxey was already an elite creator. Now he's starting to put together other aspects of his game that were weaknesses. Just goes to show you what effort and willingness to improve can grant you. I like that Springer apparently has similar ethic.

I’m afraid to trade him too. When will he be a star though?

Do not trade him! No way, absolutely no how! He's as untouchable as Embiid is. In fact, I'd list Embiid, Maxey, and Thybulle are our most important overall players.

For a forward thinking GM and Simmons depressed trade value, a guy like Maxey would be who we'd be trying to pry away as a principle piece in a deal. We already have him in house. Do not trade him. This kid is special. A star in the making.

Maxey has the mindset and work ethic to grow into a really, really good guard in the league. A bit curious what his ceiling is though. Is it a two-way guard who can create his own shot, but needs another playmaker besides him for efficient half court offense?

That said, you have to give up something good in order to acquire something good. If anything, our FO is doing a terrific job in boosting the value of our roster.

Like I said, just imagine if Ben Simmons had Maxey's work ethic.

I think Maxey can become similar to what Collin Sexton is now, especially if his FTr goes up.

I think that's reasonable. Maxey feels like more willing of a passer than Sexton but I can see some similarity in their offensive game. I think Maxey is going to start to eliminate the mid range from his game over the next few years (besides the floater). So that'll be a bit different.

Becoming as good as Sexton is now is a base case outcome for Maxey. He already outperformed Sexton's first year and is ahead of him on the development curve.

We NEED to give him the keys now.

He’s so inspiring.

Defense was an issue. Then he improved his defense.
He isnt getting to the line. Then he attacked the rim and shot less floaters.
He was reluctant to let it fly. Now he shoots 3s comfortably.

Most of the “i practiced 24 hours” story is BS.

But I truly believe Maxey is super hard worker. Because there is evident results.
