Either Kuminga or Moody are very good in the first year.

Odds of at least one of those things happenign are pretty good I think.

all these things can happen and we'd still probably lose to the Nets, which is fine, Nets is probably the 2nd best collection of talent we've ever seen (other than 2017 warriors)...and no trade we do would change that either.

these would make us the favs in the West, tho.

The question still needs to be answered if the Nets can play as a team and can stay healthy.

I'm calling Poole averaging 17PPG on better efficiency than last season this upcoming year.

Wiseman improving defensively from that list is the biggest ?. He was really terrible last season, but he obviously has an absurd level ceiling. Time to step up big guy.

Kuminga has already had significantly more preparation for this year than Wiseman had in prep for last season.

Kinda absurd that he only had 1 practice before playing in the NBA. Practice and training camp alone should make a huge difference for him.

You're probably right, but I have this image in my mind of games down the stretch with defenses focusing on Steph and Klay and having the ball rotate to Kuminga who then slashes to the hoop and jams it for the lead...the anti-Barnes move. I really think it's the trajectory of JK and MM that really matter. Edwards started off slowly last year, but by the end of the season, there were times when he was the most dominant player on the court. I'm hoping JK or MM can have moments like that...it has been the lack of offense from players not called Steph (or Klay when healthy) that has been this team's deficiency...I have hope that JK in particular will have the mental approach, and physically dominant skills to leave an imprint on games.

They can't defend a paper bag. We had a far better lineup with KD and Houston was still going to beat us.

Nets can be beaten, don't think we have the coaching staff to do it though

I'm a person that needs to see it before I believe. I saw Poole significantly improve from his 1st to 2nd season, so now I have faith that he will improve further in the 3rd season. Not saying Wiseman can't, but he is a big question mark for me until he proves it. He should not be an automatic starter and win the position if he can. I think offensively he is such a physical freak and smooth enough where it's inevitable that he will improve. My main concern with him is team defense cratoring whenever he is on the court.

I would say Poole made a leap, his improvement was significant.

I wouldnt expect a leap from Wiseman, but I’d be surprised if he didnt improve at all. That said, I agree with the “show me first” approach to projecting development.

Poole already gave 22.3 pts per36 on .581 True Shooting. Another leap in efficiency, and he's putting up All-Star scoring numbers. Though, not too difficult to see his path there since he still only shot 35% from 3 last year. Even still, if he can hold steady the scoring and efficiency he did last year, that's a solid bench scorer.

I think with Poole looking like the defacto backup Point Guard, I'm curious to see if he can make a leap in his assist rate. Developing the point skills will determine if his ceiling is NBA starter or NBA 6th man, imo.

Poole may come in to break Steph but his role is definitely barbosa pg per say.

Iggy can play the Iggy roll. Porter/Moody can be Livingston?

We finished season with 16W in last 22G (10th Off and 2nd Def) with 8 man rotation. My the biggest surprise 5th in DEFRTG in RS. So if defence will be on the same level, we will be ok w/o question.

I'm certainly more optimistic than I should be when it comes to sports ... but it doesn't seem outrageous to think the Warriors could be the best team in the West. The Nuggets defense and health are major issues. The Lakers defense and health are major issues. The Jazz and Mavs failed last year and don't look any better. The Suns are probably in the best shape going in.

Outside of a trade, our roster is essentially set:

Steph / Iggy / Chiozza
Klay / Poole / Lee / Mulder
Wiggins / JTA / Moody
Dray / Otto / Kuminga
Wiseman / Looney / Bjelica

That is 16. So really the only move left would be to add another 2way player or hope we can move Mulder to the 2way and either have 14 roster spots or sign 1 last FA.

My guess for opening day lineup:

Steph
Lee
Wiggins
Dray
Wiseman

Chiozza is on a two-way, so you have 15. I don't think Mulder will be there as they probably would like to go in with 14. IMO, Lee is on the fence--maybe they can upgrade.

I'm just counting towards 17 including the 2 ways. There is room for 1 more player on either a roster spot or 2way depending on what they do with Mulder.

Mannion is a lock to comeback, already got a QO for the 2nd two way spot. We are full.

Mannion just signed with Italy. The 20-year-old is signing with Virtus Bologna in Italy, his agent told ESPN's Jordan Schultz.

Sounds like Mannion is playing in Italy this year.
