Except Suggs becoming a Jrue is quite realistic, whereas Barnes best case is nowhere near Giannis. I posted yesterday, no one can be a Giannis unless they are 7 feet. Giannis himself wouldn't be nearly the same player if he had the exact same skillset in a 6'8 body.
Suggs becoming jrue is not quite realistic. Stop making assumptions for one player and not being consistent

Aren't we all just watching guys play and making assumptions based on what we think?

Some of us don't shove our assumptions down other people's throats as gospel

If they keep pretending that scrub Killin Hayes is a point guard then yeah he’ll have another bad game.

AJ Lawson moved onto Atlanta's SL roster now. Should we be interested if Atlanta doesn't keep him?

green wants to destroy him. Dude just knows he was the best player in the draft and will prove a point tonight. He’s as competitive as it gets.

I think its easy to guess that Jalen Suggs will most likely have more PPG than Barnes. But that shouldn't mean he's automatically better considering Barnes will lead in other Categories such as Rebounss/Blocks/Alterations. Also his ability to guard 1-5 will be more impactful.

Regardless, both players looks like they're going to be really good

It's like comparing Jrue and Giannnis.

I don’t get the Jrue comparisons because Suggs is aggressive offensively while Jrue is more passive.

The simple rationale for Barnes over Suggs is that Suggs’ path to a bonafide first option is narrow while Barnes has more possibilities. Suggs is just too short while not being a lethal shot maker which is what you need to be a superstar at the 1-2 position in this league. Barnes on the other hand has a wider set of outcomes including a lower floor and a higher ceiling.

Suggs will be a winning player and he will look good his entire career. We passed knowing this. The faster we give up the comparisons the better.

Agreed.

But also I think we best make peace with the reality that Suggs and Scottie's careers will be inexorably tied together for many Raptors fans - the two will be compared exhaustively for their entire careers.

This is the excuse from the Mavs end lol.

Dwain Price: #Mavs summer league coach Greg St. Jean said Josh Green won’t play for the Mavs in the summer league. Green just finished winning an Olympic bronze medal with Australia. St. Jean said Green will be in Las Vegas and practicing with the Mavs and will sit on the bench during games.

Precious just finished playing in the Olympics and he's ready to go not to mention Giddey tried playing last night. There is definetly something going on.

Green is a good prospect with the required wingspan but he's soooo young. It would feel like we're running a daycare. Boucher is starting to look old and he's not even 30.

Josh Green is terrible. 16 % from three and 56% from FT like is atrocious especially if you’re a wing. Don’t care if you’re a rookie.

Agreed, it’ll be like a poor man’s Luka/Trae sort of thing.

It won’t be as bad as that because I don’t ever see Barnes or Suggs being as dominant as Luka or Trae but their careers will be compared to each other for a long time in the Raptors fandom.

Cade doesn't have combine measurements. I wonder if he skipped it because it would have hurt his draft stock. There's zero chance he's actually 6'8. He looks, at most, to be the same size as Jalen Green.

Jalen Green is clearly shorter.

There is also a picture from reddit that shows it too. Line starts on Cade's forehead and it's over Green's hair. Green is probably 6 foot 5 at most. For perspective Adam Silver is 6 foot 3.

I think the same can be said about Green. Green looks tiny out there. I think he measured 6'4 without shoes a couple years ago.

We're only playing 4 games? Which means we probably have to win all 4 to make the playoffs.

Yeah, there's 3 ways it can go. If both guys are comparable, say they're all-stars with similar impact, we'll be comparing the two forever in endless debate. If Scottie is the superior player, then it'll be like Vince vs Jamison - we'll have comparisons initially which will go away in a couple of years. But if Suggs is the superior player, trolls like Pooh Jeter will remind us about the pick on a daily basis for as long as this board exists.
