do you feel Sengun is more of a Kevin Love type of player or a Jokic type of player?

He definitely has skill but those extra few inches would have done wonders. Jokic is good cuz he's 7'0" and has a 7'3" wingspan. Sengun is 6'9" .. underwhelming measurements

Guys how many of you have played basketball competitively? Do you realize how much measurements and length is worth? With long wingspan you can challenge opponents while defending without loosing your stance and legs! Suggs will be good player but Barnes will be all star on both ends for sure! You can build good fundamentals on your shot and just make thousands of them in training and your shoot will come. But you cant train wingspan or reach!

PS: all posters who on draft day was bashing Barnes pick now want that we take Suggs pick serious :):):) Suggs will be decent player in NBA but Barnes is a unicorn! Trust your front office and forget those stupid stats while comparing them. Barnes pick was obvious for those who know basketball. Cheers ;) My second post, lurker from JV days…

Similar to fight game. 76" reach compared to 72" reach is MAJOR difference for a reason. Everything you do has be adjusted for reduced space which throws guys off.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

The talking is a MAJOR selling point with Scottie, it shows you his understanding of the game. How comfortable he is with leading.

Cade doesn't have combine measurements. I wonder if he skipped it because it would have hurt his draft stock. There's zero chance he's actually 6'8. He looks, at most, to be the same size as Jalen Green.

Before the college basketball year, I read an article in the Oklahoma papers stating that Cade measured 6 foot 6 without shoes on. Cade is also listed 6 foot 6 in the Detroit Pistons Summer League Roster.

I don’t get the Jrue comparisons because Suggs is aggressive offensively while Jrue is more passive.

The simple rationale for Barnes over Suggs is that Suggs’ path to a bonafide first option is narrow while Barnes has more possibilities. Suggs is just too short while not being a lethal shot maker which is what you need to be a superstar at the 1-2 position in this league. Barnes on the other hand has a wider set of outcomes including a lower floor and a higher ceiling.

Suggs will be a winning player and he will look good his entire career. We passed knowing this. The faster we give up the comparisons the better.

Agreed.

But also I think we best make peace with the reality that Suggs and Scottie's careers will be inexorably tied together for many Raptors fans - the two will be compared exhaustively for their entire careers.

You are going to hear all about Suggs stats as he will have more opportunities in Magic as the offense will be run thru him

The reason I think Barnes is more Iguodala than Draymond is cause Iguodala in his prime was an offensive threat while Draymond never was. When you watch Barnes play, you get the sense that he can score at will on you if he wants but he opts to plays more as part of the team because he understands the importance of team chemistry. Suggs also has that same quality too, but its more apparent if you're a defender against Barnes because of his domineering physical frame.

Cade doesn't have combine measurements. I wonder if he skipped it because it would have hurt his draft stock. There's zero change he's actually 6'8. He looks, at most, to be the same size as Jalen Green.

Jalen Green is clearly shorter.

There is also a picture from reddit that shows it too. Line starts on Cade's forehead and it's over Green's hair. Green is probably 6 foot 5 at most. For perspective Adam Silver is 6 foot 3.

Shoulder height makes a big difference in perceived size. Cade has a bigger head than Greens, but their shoulders are at the same level.

IDK about all that. Green's shoulders are clearly under the second red line while Cade's shoulders are partially covered by the red line.

Also Cade has a 7-0 wingspan while green has a 6-7 wingspan.

So not only is Cade taller he also has longer arms.

I see more Lamar Odom in Barnes than anything else.

Way less polished than rookie Lamar but can switch from 1-5, be a legit playmaker and a great connecting player.

Lamar would of thrived in this era of basketball.

This years top 5 picks seem uncharacteristically devoid of Tattoos. I have a tattoo that I got at 18 so I have nothing against them. It just seems to go against the recent trends.

Davion Mitchell looks like a hell of a Defensive player, really would have fit the Raptors well if we didn't move up to #4:

That picture is zoomed in. Another picture shows he's to the far left.

It’s kinda weird that they put the 4th pick at the at the far end of the picture.
They also could also bookend the picture with the other guy in the white suit but that might just be my OCD.

Just looking at the picture halfway up this page, it looks like he has none but after more research it appears he’s a leg tat guy.
