I’m saying OKC is tanking anyway, throw out an SGA/Dort/Giddey/Poku/Lauri lineup. I’d watch that. And the offense would be fascinating. But they’d also give up 200 a game

Does that do anything positive for the development of Giddey/Poku, and even SGA/Dort, though?

I think so, right? On offense they can do very interesting things. The team defense is just going to be trash. But the offensive end seems worth it.

I guess my question is more does the offensive aptitude help Giddey/Poku develop, while the defensive weakness will leave those guys scrambling and all 3 of them constantly collapsing just to prevent open season on the basket? I don’t know that it will help them offensively develop, and I think it’ll set them back developing defensively.

For anyone watching SL, Shareef Cooper for ATL just put up a performance. I like that kid.

Yup. He was a killer in that summer league game against the Pacers. Just great vision as a PG and a smart player, but his defensive shortcomings will leave him as a bench player for awhile. But man, I’d love to have him.

Crazy and sad all at once. I was high on the guy, as were his peers by being voted likely rookie of the year. I saw it with Frank Ntikkina never amounting to anything, but not DSJ.

I have to think he at least gets a training camp invite somewhere. He's always been pretty terrible, but has pretty rare athleticism. Not the worst reclamation project out there.

The team has talked with Kevin Huerter’s representation about his rookie extension. Schlenk said the plan is to have deeper conversations beginning next week...Schlenk said the Hawks’ intention is to try to sign Huerter to an extension before the season begins.

Camp bodies. You can have up to 20 bodies in camp. Also maybe an attempt to steer them to their GLeague team. I wouldn’t assume that they would make the roster in any way.

You probably heard the reports that they were going to sign an exhibit 10 contract in July, and now are reading the report that they formalized the deal and signed that exhibit 10 contract. Probably just each step being reported separately.
