Can we stop saying to take PP and AN out of the Summer League? So idiotic, they both need reps, especially Nesmith. Load management for SL? LOL

"but they may get hurt"

In the unlikely event that this man ever makes another NBA team and returns to Boston, how great would it be to have a “tribute video” which is 45 seconds of making 3s in the 3rd quarter of a pre-season game his rookie year?

Show that and then: “THAT WAS ALL. THANK YOU CARSEN.”

Yeah, you want to see the total package, but his defense was serviceable last year and he did what Brad asked him to do.

I watched the first game on NBC Sports Boston and it was like sports talk radio with the video of the game in the background. It was unbearable. Second game, I watched on ESPNU, and got real play-by-play; much better.

That's it. Ime's good with the euphemisms. (E.g., telling the Jays he wants to develop their playmaking instead of, "Pass the f'in ball!!!)

So maybe after looking at a trainer's report he told Grant he needed to watch his "load management" for conditioning this summer--and Grant took it to mean he was so advanced an NBA player that he shouldn't stress himself by playing SL.

We don’t agree on much but we do on this. Bruno is 100x better than the slobs they trotted out in game 1 and it showed in the play of our starting guards. Don’t think he gets any regular season burn but that dribble drive and 1 he had was impressive for a big guy

He is a great developmental big, especially if Rob Williams gets moved in a deal for a star player.

Grant with a completely mistaken idea last night as to what it means to be "the man in the arena".

Carsen at 31% (5/16) on 3s through 2 games in SL and somehow people have the impression he's been impressing in a positive way on that count.

Nesmith and Payton shooting the ball nice which is cool.
Romeo look kinda uncomfortable out there. Probably because they are trying to develop him as a ball handler. Along with his previous injuries, his development been pushed back some

Love seeing the love for Bruno. He was my draft binkie, but of course Danny picked Carsen instead. Read about his background and you'll see he's really easy to root for. Good dude

I hope you are not under the impression that I have anything positive to say about Carsen Edwards other than that he seems like a nice enough guy.

It was truly unbearable. Second game too, which featured Cedric Maxwell alongside Abbie. His commentary is execrable, and then there's his voice. Can't listen to him.

I watched on ESPN3 which only had the Spanish feed. I picked up maybe 15% of what they were saying. It was glorious.

I took your comment as sarcastic, but many actually singing his praises after these 2 SL games.

I don't think Romeo will maximize his innate ability, but I think he could still hit a very serviceable groove this season. We'll see.

He's almost 2 years younger than PP, for example, and so still a year younger than PP was as a rook. (Also younger than Nesmith.)

Good to remember that they're humans, and sometimes pretty good humans at that: https://www.masslive.com/celtics/2019/07/boston-celtics-rookie-romeo-langford-is-reserved-but-he-achieved-rock-star-status-in-indiana.html

(And yeah, the same goes for the likes of Carsen and Grant.)

So you are saying we should trade them all to Indiana?

I'm hoping Nesmith has himself a 14/4/2 kind of year. I think he can do it. Kid seems like he'll have big games then disappear here and there. He's still learning but it's going to come to him

Yeah, it definitely seems like they’re asking Langford to ball-handle more and develop it. Seems like he mostly has a big dribble, and not a shorter control one.
Also thought he was frustrated guarding Bol Bol. Didn’t like some of the calls against him.

PP should sit. He doesn't need reps. We need to see more of Mader and Edwards.

As far as Nesmith. He and Langford need to play. They need reps.
