Since the SIM ratings are based off real life performance many people post highlights from there players in the thread. It's not really off topic at all.
Bish already has a main thread that only he posts in it's the team.page. It has rules, free agent lists, and that is where he will update FA signings.
This thread is for everything else.
The mix of transactions and bids is the hardest thing for me to keep up with. I think this is why Richard and myself mentioned a separate thread. Something that would be cool ( and it is what the spreadsheet would have done ) is if the current bid amount was posted by the players name. Not the team name but current winning bid amount. That may save some time and useless PM's if a bid goes out of the range a team can make.
I think teams like mine are great examples since the amount we can bid is so small. There are a number of players that will get over 12 dollars for 4 years; which is my max bid. If I saw the bid amounts, I would obviously pass on any above my max.
If a team bids on a player and wins, but then can't sign player because they ran out of cap space how is that addressed?
Bish updates all FA info on the 2nd back of the following link (on the end of the team pages)
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2099633&start=20
you will see a post that says FA - he will post updates that this player will sign at 3:43 pm if a better offer doesn't come in
He will also PM you if you are the winning bid and what time that player will sign so you can confirm that you are still winning bid if he says to you, you will win this player at 3:43 pm. If you see the player go to 10:43 pm and now know you aren't the leading bidder on that page.
People didn't want the spreadsheet because they want the smallest amount of info out there in the bidding process. So there will be no way to know if a guy is currently out of your price range you have to submit an offer and hopefully guess right. If you don't get a response back from Bish then you know he is out of your price range. That is the only way to know.
I have my opinion on the matter and would prefer more info then less but this is what people decided.
Yeah I prefer more info too but I like this way of doing it and think it'll lead to there being a lot less good players on $1 deals. It'll make the contracts given out more evenly spread just like the NBA. So I see the positives of it. Basically unless you only need bench filler you'll be breaking the bank to get good depth.
