I already love this guy. As others have said, we need guys who play with an edge. Caruso is all effort and edge, with a 3 pt shot.

Bobby Marks is reporting that only $3 M of Caruso’s fourth year is guaranteed. Even better. So his contract could end after three years, same as DDR, Lonzo (likely) and PWill. That will be an interesting summer.

@BullsWisco: Bulls fans: In this video Bobby states that Caruso deal has only 3 mil guaranteed in 4th year and first year is 8.6 mil which opens space to sign Marko or Ayo to 4 year contract @arturasfanclub @Bulls_Jay @RyanBorja @BN_Bulls https://t.co/QX49p7SZPH
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Nice. I was actually a little concerned about that 4th year. I have a strong hesitation with Lebron role-players. Caruso is a legit scrapper, but his offensive game may drop off without the Lebron/Davis effect.

I think he will come in and make a bigger impact than folks think on both ends of the court. With Ball able to shift to the 3, the flexibility we'll have with Ball, Caruso, Lavine and White will be great.

He''s kinda an enigma. Most guy who look like him are shooters. Like you don't expect this guy to be playing tough defnese and picking you up half court. When he does you're pretty convinced you can beat him too.

Chicago loves it's tough defensive minded guys. Fans will cheer his gritty play.
He will make some good plays, sell a few jerseys - but 9 mil still feels like an overpay for a guy I had no clue the team was interested in and a guy I figured was just a journeyman to fill a cheap roster spot in LA.

He is good buddies with LeBron and maybe if things go bad in LA this year......

and what is gonna happen with his weed bust?
TX still has some pretty tough weed laws.....

LOL.

Dude reminds me of a young Kirk, but IMO, more skilled offensively and athletic. I think he'll be our new "Taj" fan fave.

It's deeper for sure. I don't expect great leaps and bounds from AC but he is an absolute RA upgrade and Ball is a big Sato upgrade.

I love AC always have because he is sneaky athletic. Yeah he will be a fan favorite like Noc was I think. He may have to be more conservative on his defense with the Bulls though because he won't have AD and Lebron to erase his aggressiveness that he was able to show with LAL. Our interior won't switch anywhere as well.

Agreed. Caruso isn't a superstar, but he's the only player that brings a required ingredient to winning that isn't found on the roster.

4 of our top 5 best performing lineups all had Garett Temple on them. The 5th had both Troy Brown Jr & Theis. It's pretty clear we need hustling defenders out there, and with both Temple & Theis gone a lot rests on Caruso.

I think we are sleeping on this kid in terms of his impact...especially with Coby out for a while.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if Caruso ends up closing games for us. In those key moments, you need somebody who can consistently stop the ball and disrupt plays, and he's our best in that department.

The question is, who sits?

I don't know him well enough to know if his ego can handle it, but it might be good to make offense-defense substitutions from Derozan to Caruso when we have timeouts/stoppages of play in close games.

I could see Vuc sitting and going small ball with Caruso, Zach, Ball, DD, Pat.
