I think people here questioning if all these good stuffs are Casey, or did he take credit of other people.
I guess Casey can prove himself in Detroit. How do you think he was doing in Detroit so far?
Obviously not good but that's because the roster is absolutely trash. How do you think Nurse would look in Detroit? How did Nurse look last year when we were trash and he was fueding with Siakam?
I think Nurse looks better. I don't think our roster is any better as sitting VanVleet, Lowry and Siakam, but we played better basketball, and played to our strength. Nurse not only knows more than X & O, he also knows how to put our players to success. Casey to me, not so much. Only asking his players to do what he thinks, but Nurse would ask his players what they think as well (eg. know what Leonard wants to do, and put him in success with mid-range and stuff).
So I have to disagree as I looked at the approach and believe Nurse would be a better coach.
Casey knows how to get everyone to work hard and buy into the system. But he doesn't change things up, there will be an obvious matchup issue within his rotation and he will go down with his ship. Wants things the same all the time.
Nurses problem is he doesn't know how to talk to people, mostly the referees. He has a short temper and loses his composure. Anybody who knows anything about performing in any skilled field is the first step is always remaining composed. Thats the first thing you learn.

Not as painful to watch (on the offensive end) as Freddie G.
Freddie was fine on defence, but he's gotta spend a year in G-League getting those shots down. 1-9 from your centre is just not gonna cut it. On the plus side - he's trying to take those shots. It means he thinks he can make them. And someday, he will. But today is not that day.

Gillespie is as good as gone from the main team. Like you said, he'lll be in the 905 for good unless injuries occur.
Birch and Achiuwa is the tandem Raps are going with next season and I'm fine with it to let them grow

Sungooon is legit, doesn't matter what he can ball and his iq helps him be a better player when his physical attributes slow him down.

Idk to me it was pretty obvious he was going to look good, I'm not sure how he was drafted that late. Dude was MVP in Turkey at age 18.

This draft class has brought a great level of exciting talent to the league. The old generation is slowing moving out and this is the new NBA.

21 points, 8 boards, 4 blocks, and 3 assists. He had more assists than Cade.
I actually wonder if Toronto had him high on their board. He'd be a kind of leftfield four pick that Toronto would have been famous for.
Josh Christopher is a whole mess of energy that can go wrong but he plays with a ton of heart. He is super strong and looks like he will be able to bully his way into the lane. Reminds me of THT. Houston absolutely slayed in their draft.
That would be a gross management of assets. It's one thing to take Barnes at 4, he was slated to go 5 anyways.
Sengun ended up going 16, taking him at 4 would have been insane.
I know it is only SL, but he did look great yesterday and very much a kind of singular type of player with his post moves and facilitation skills. Plus, this kid had a pretty impressive track record in Turkey playing against men. To me, it is possible that teams were scared off about his height, lack of English and how well he would adapt. The "modern NBA" put a lot of focus on versatile wings, so there can be sheep mentality at play in the lottery.
Usman Garuba who also was pretty impressive against NBAers in the Olympics also went late. It is possible that GMs make mistakes. Every year there is a few cases of guys who should have been high lottery who ended up being drafted late.
I and other are already wondering how high Sengun should have been drafted. Even look at Poku last year. He was a bigger swing, but I think GMs are terrified of selecting non-North American players. I blame it on Darko and Bender.

He's going to be a liability in tight playoff like games. He can't bang with Jokic, Embiid, Ayton. Thats really all. I think its an overrated weakness. Everyone is looking for the perfect Center these days and if your not a perfect link defensively they forget about you.

If Suggs ends up being a 20plus scorer on good efficiency, that’s unfortunately exactly what we need and we passed him up. I still have reservations he can do that though. Green I think for sure can.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
