Atlanta's two picks lookin good in SL. We could have had them both at 19 & 37. Last game Sharife Cooper had 21 pts, 9 asts, 5/8 from three. Jalen Johnson posted 18 pts, 10 rebs, 2 blks coming off a 20/10 game

I'm still high on Kai, would have loved to have seen us pick up Cooper or Butler at 37 though

If you take Sengun you are basically saying PJ is not in your long term plans, because there is no way they can play together.

Sengun has been impressive but you can see where he is going to struggle mightily on D and jumpshots. You bascially need a Myles Turner type next to him.

I don't know you are so down on Bouknight, fats. He showed a higher ceiling in his first game. And he's another player that will just be way better with LaMelo, Hayward, Terry, Plumlee, and actual people who can pass and shoot

Are we really playing the “we should have drafted player X instead of who we drafted” game already?

And only 2 games into SL?

Yeah some teams really got lucky during this draft... So many rooks impressed. I agree, I like our picks (mainly bouk and Kai) but felt there were better needs (for us) with our latter picks. Butler was both insurance for Rozier and LaMelo and Sharife is a guy who has upside as well. and Sims has impressed me quite a bit summer league,, but I still really like Thor and Lewis tho.

I'm still very cool with our picks. This draft was so freakin loaded, I think it's gonna be one of the best draft classes in a while and it's gonna be fun watching how all these guys turn out. I'm just glad Mitch saw that and made the moves to get two more good picks out of it

The real losers of this draft were the teams that traded out of it (Minnesota, Chicago, Boston, NYK)

I actually like what Chicago did in adding Dosumnu and Troy Baxter JR. I LOVE what the knicks did in adding Sims and Mcbride and Grimes

I’m not trying to say we should have drafted him, I’m just enjoying watching him. He has had some good defensive moments as well, defending and blocking Cade Cunningham was a great example that he’s not completely terrible. He’s definitely not al Jefferson, a lot more active and aware

Averaging 4 blocks after two games. Outplayed Mobley here.

Sengun is going to draw fouls, his style is so physical, such a load to defend

I hated the Jefferson comparisons pre-draft. So lazy.

I agree with you - he’s super active and aggressive and shows some impressive full court hustle.

@UNCNYC never heard of this JaQuori you revere so I looked him up. Don't see this kind of thing in a player bio too often:
Before his sophomore year, McLaughlin began suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder after witnessing a terrorist attack during his team's summer trip to Spain. Six games into the season, he left the team.

Wow I forgot reading something like that about him.

I have been a follower of his for years and kinda brushed it off because he fell under the radar but after you brought it
up again I remember.

I hope he has bounced back.

JaQuori seems like such a professional young man. Just the kind of guy you want on your franchise.

He plays so TEAM. If that makes any sense lol. His game is on replay now on NBATV. This dude can BALL.

Size 6'4, defense is superb and can play both positions. doesn't turn the ball over much but doesn't play passive either

I am really a fan. I thought for certain he was gonna be a HORNET because we brought him in before the draft process began.

I just always that he had that "it" factor. Someone you just rooted for and was curious to follow.

These are a few videos on him. These are not MUST watches so if they bore you you are warned lol...
I just posted them for people that want to know more about him...

That' why I think he will work best as a 6th man. Good read, thanks

He's a rookie................ of course he would be best as a 6th man type. Putting that overall ceiling on him for his entire career right now is pretty ballsy.

You also said DJ is your favorite player on the team, so I can't really take what you are saying seriously.

Not being a hater, just saying that if you watched the first 2 games and he is your favorite player, we may have issues haha
