That's y the draft isn't a sure fire way of rebuilding ur team. 19yrs old Moody picked no.14 or so looks better than any of our guys. We need refunds back for the 46th and 47th picks

Same. I think how he’s best utilized, as of right now

I wish Flynn was creating for others more than looking for his shot. There were many times he missed Barnes wide open

VeOlOeV wrote:-barnes looks huge out there, surprised how long and large he looked next to kuminga
-barnes offense obviously work in progress, but his playmaking instincts are really encouraging. mentally seems very strong, aggressive even after some embarrassing attempts, looks to make the right play (whereas kuminga literally looked to shoot every time he touched the ball) shot will come around, touch around the rim and finishing could take longer to develop
-strong defensively, quick feet but oddly slow laterally, even then didnt get blown by often and used length effectively
-Not necessarily explosive but very strong and fast when he builds up some speed, very quick second jump
-flynn got ate by gary payton II, will still struggle to create space without a screen

Nice summary.

Take a hike pal.

The answer to this, is a question.

Why didn't Orlando try to trade up to get Suggs? We know they didn't because Bobby and Masai would have taken whatever they were offering.

That's a good point honestly. Never heard anyone raise this question before.

Unless Orlando was just playing chicken

A lot of those misses were fouls that didn’t get called too

8-12 from the line is pretty encouraging. That’s not bad at all. Already showing glimpses of improvement

He was fouled a couple drives and didn’t get the call in game 1 as well.

Worried he’s one of those big guys the league won’t officiate fairly.

He legit looks unstoppable when he drives. Teams have to foul him.

Barnes didn't play great, but he had some great plays, specifically his turnaround mid range shot with Kuminga draped all over him. Defensively he was everywhere, very active switching. Kuminga was heavily featured in the Warriors offense, and I was disappointed that the Raptors didn't feature Barnes in a similar manner offensively. There are moments when you can see it clearly with Scottie, it's a matter of refining the ball handling and the shot, and you have an All Star player.

Flynn was pretty disappointing. He still cannot catch and shoot the 3, and it's really going to effect his ability to play with the starters.

This board is unbearable. It’s been only two meaningless summer league games and people are already ready to give up on the kid. He didn’t even look too bad today either. People really need to temper their expectations and learn some patience.

Mutumbo wants our SG initiate our offense. 1ast, 4 To. If this is Johnson's idea, he deserves his 18min today as starter.

Am liking Banton. Scottie will be more than fine he is just burnt out from too many selfies. Johnson headed to 905. Gillespie played great. Flynn was Summer League TRoss ba-ad.

I like Banton too. I find it odd people calling him trash and wonder if they are watching the same game we are.

dont let the negative posters charge you emotionally - this board is social media after all and we know what social media does to our psyche

there are guys who see the joy and potential he plays with

hes a great passer - even from the floor he instantly passed out for a wide open 3 when he fell down today

Somebody put one of those Smackchat female filters on Jericho Sims... for research purposes.

precious too, 1 play in the 4th precious sealed their short pg right under the basket and flynn took kumnga off the dribble to shoot a contested shot.

This place turns into a legit cesspool after guys struggle. Thats why I don't post here often, I just don't feel like flooding other forums with Raptor talk.

If we drafted the consensus BPA in Suggs, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Barnes being a project isn't indicative of the flaws of building through the draft. We chose to take on that risk. There was a safer pick available.

Building through the draft is the only way for teams not located in LA or NY to accumulate talent.

Kawhi or Giannis Comps for Barnes is a dumb take imo....Draymond Green one is about right....Barnes will never be an elite Scorer/presence like a Kawhi/Giannis

Summer Leage TV is stupid. Why do they do interview during games. Do it before or after game not while there's a game. They interviewed 3-5 people while I was watching.
