As a rule, I don’t read much into summer league and especially the stats from it. Its always been biased against bigs and has been the domain of chuckers for as long as i can remember

Isn't GK the 15th guy?

Nwora's scoring ability fits our incosistent 3p shooting ability, so I would in fact try to lock him up on a team friendly extension and selling him the 6th man role on a Championship team

someone correct me. Does signing GK to a guaranteed contract mean the only guys we can sign now are to non-guaranteed contracts.
Does anyone else think getting a PG or C who can at least be a "break glass in case of emergency" type of guy would have been a good idea? Not counting Giannis, is Semi our 3rd string center? Or is it Mamu? Who's our 3rd string PG?

Not at all.

Hill + Allen>>>>Schroder + Merrill + 2 2nds

Why do you mix it with the Allen trade? It’s Hill 2y/8mil vs Schroder 1y/6mil.

Kidd broke Larry. Damn.

Larry broke himself. He looked like a shell of himself the prior season under Larry Drew. He had off the court issues, on the court issues, and was a **** head in general. That was the season Gary Neal told him to earn his pay. Larry gave up on basketball before the ink on that deal was even dry.

Kidd is an ass, but this Larry revisionist history from this passage is hilarious.

Hill's better than Schroder. No need to mix them.

Not to be rude, but this post sounds like it's coming from a place that doesn't truly understand mental health. Broke himself? I'm sure he didn't ask to have depression/anxiety. The guy was clearly struggling for awhile and Kidd just gave him new things to add to his anxiety/depression that eventually broke his body down, instead of getting him the help he needed. Who's to say he couldn't have turned it around if he had the support he needed at that time?

The stigma is lessening, but even back in 2014, guys weren't coming out and talking about this stuff. As someone who's dealt/deals with that type of anxiety, it can be debilitating as **** and there was a period in my life not that long ago, where I felt like I was going through the motions just to get through the day.

Do I wish things would have worked out better with Larry? Absolutely. But having dealt with BS anxiety/depression myself, I tend to be a bit more empathetic to his situation.

3rd string C is either Giannis or Mamu at the moment, for 3rd string PG currently we have Bryant still

And Schroder was terrible in the playoffs - both offensively and defensively against GS. Probably not the kind of player we want.

I was thinking TPMLE was used for Allen when it was actually the TPE. My bad.

I'd still rather have Hill than Schroder.

Schroder never made sense on this team anyway. Ball-first no-defense players aren't exactly Bud guys.

The 2021 NBA Championship winning coach has had an opportunity to work with both of them in the past, I feel pretty confident they got the guy they want in the role that they envision for him.

So Kidd got in the way of the team's holiday plans, made the team go through an insane 3 hour practice (followed by weights and pool exercises), which culminated with Larry cramping from head to toe to such an extent that his body couldn't take it and he left to go spend the night in the hospital.

That seems pathological even aside from Kidd calling him "a piece of sh*t", "a terrible player", and "pathetic".

If Kidd pulled this sort of stunt with KG in Brooklyn, Kevin would have slapped him, though largely because Kevin was nearly a foot taller than him. Heart of a champion, though. Heart of a champion.

Portland is currently right up against the tax with only 12 players, I wonder if they make any cost saving moves. They are in a tight spot with Lillard but if they do move him then are they going to blow it up. If not it looks like they will creep into the tax.

Wondering if they try to avoid the tax, would a RoCo for DDV, Pat, and Diakite be of interest? If the Bucks could then fill out the roster with Thanasis, Bradley and Reddick on minimums, would you do it? Does it even make the Bucks better?

The roster would look like this
Holiday / Hill / Bradley
Allen / Reddick / Hood
Middleton / Nwora / Thanasis / Kalaitzakis
Giannis / RoCo / Ojeleye
Lopez / Portis / Mamu(2-way)

I hate the idea of trading Pat or Donte, but I thought I would throw it out there.
