Thought this was a great flashback to the finals Lebron had in 13. Diaw really couldn't guard Lebron in well spaced lineups but with Wade on the floor Spurs just clogged a bunch of defenders into every possible path he could blow round him. We all remembered Lebron's jumper being shaky but that alone should never have been enough to have Diaw on him if the interior wasn't packed with help defenders.
Bringing us to the present day, am curious to see how the Lakers overcome this kind of defense in the playoffs. All I can say is be ready to ditch the politics to bench Westbrook
if it's in the best interest of AD and Lebron in 4th quarters and final possessions. Especially AD who is appalling against doubles.
Westbrook should be the defacto initiator but I think AD and Lebron will still need space to run isolation to break most opponents gameplans. Don't overcomplicate it, just have Monk or Nunn in if things aren't working out. Even Rondo was pulled from a couple closing possessions in favour of Caruso.
