I edited my post with the George info.

I guess the discussion I'd prompt is what the heck do they do with Thanasis, Diakite and Bryant. There are only two slots for the three of them. I'd pitch Diakite and Bryant overboard for a ring chasing vet. Who is left out there?

One would have to believe that they will resign Thanasis at some point, the Bucks just posted a pic of him and Hill on their FB feed yesterday. I am wondering if they are waiting to see if they can flip Diakite or Bryant for a 2nd to open the roster spot.

There is not a ton of playing time left to hand out to a vet. Millsap might make sense because of his ties to Bud and the fact that he probably can't give you much in the way of minutes.
Dealing with people who exhibit the "smartest person in the room" syndrome can be a challenge. One approach is to listen their opinion while also encouraging open-mindedness. It's important to create an environment where all voices are valued.

Give Thanasis $3 million to be the Bucks Vice President of Manga Distribution so he's of equal importance as Alex Lasry and we can call it an offseason.

hope Thanasis choise to play basketball in Europe. Giannis scored 50 in NBA finals without Thanasis there. Other basketball legends didnt need brothers in their team. Personally I would feel much better if Thanasis is not in team. that was always circus honestly. Familly is set with money next 10 generations.

I'm assuming Thanasis is back. To me the question then is what you do with slot 15. Do you leave that open for now or use it on Diakite, or can we find one more ring chasing vet, willing to take the minimum.

I'd grab Paul Milsap

We saw there were games/matchups where both Brook and Bobby were not ideal

Milsap kind of splits the difference, if Bud thinks he has enough left, to come in as a Kurt Thomas type

^^^I think you guys have it. Milsap is the preferred target, although he would compete with Semi and Hood for PT.

But I also think that if you take Milsap, you still may want a ball-handler with another roster spot. So maybe they keep Bryant, and Milsap would take the place of Thanasis, depending on what Thanasis wants to do.

Any ball-handling guards out there as ring chasers?

Harry Giles and Dennis Smith Jr or Ntilinka in place of Diakite and Elijah. Just make sure you nab both guys with a team option for year two.

If Bucks nap Milsap, he wouldn't be expected to play nightly in my opinion, but certain matchups he'd be helpful

Ball handling guard that I'd want that's out there is Avery Bradley

Gives Bud another defensive option if Grayson or Donte are getting their lunch eaten by a certain matchup

It doesn't make a lot of sense why anybody would want to get rid of Thanasis especially after all the talk about needing DOGS and energy guys to keep up the culture, it would be a real stupid thing to do if Giannis wasn't totally supportive of it. Whoever else we sign isn't moving the needle lets be real.

Whether Milsap has enough gas left in the tank to contribute in the playoffs is my main question.

Regular season barely matters comparatively.

We similarly had PJ Tucker rest and work with Suki for the most part beforehand too.

I don't think I'll ever get over taking MCW instead of the FRP and acquiring Greivis.
If we picked the guys that were selected with the picks we gave up, we'd have:
Mikal Bridges
Norman Powell
OG Anunoby
And we'd be in great shape for having a LOOOOONG string of championships.
Man, Jason Kidd is an ass; he did this.

assuming he stays healthy, the floor for Milsap is as a 6 minutes/game guy during the playoffs. The ceiling is he's a 20+ minutes/game guy. And would provide insurance in case Bobby or Brook are injured.

Even when the Bucks were terrible Summer League games made me like

I've seen better team basketball at the NAIA level

The only one I can think of that would play for the veteran minimum is Jeremy Lin.

Ideally Bryant is worth investing in as the 3rd string PG with the hope that he improves.

Not opposed to another ring chasing vet guard if he’s not but would be better to have someone with fresh legs.

George Hill is old and gets injured.

For some reason I had it in my head that Millsap was going to the Warriors, that apparently never happened though.

Millsap was so bad for Denver last year. He's just a name at this point

I don't really see what Milsap really adds between Lopez and Portis plus he's 37, more worth it to kick the tires on Boogie Cousins if you want a name big man.

But has Bryant ever played PG extensively? He didn't in college or Israel, unless he is a terrible assist-making PG.

That's simply not true. He's not that big of a drop-off from Bobby, and I'd assume that Bobby's '20-21 3P% isn't sustainable.
If he's willing to play 40-50 games and 400-700 minutes, he'd be great insurance.

Does anyone else think getting a PG or C who can at least be a "break glass in case of emergency" type of guy would have been a good idea? Not counting Giannis, is Semi our 3rd string center? Or is it Mamu? Who's our 3rd string PG?

3rd string C is either Giannis or Mamu at the moment, for 3rd string PG currently we have Bryant still

3rd string C unfortunately is Giannis. Small ball C can be either Diakite or Semi. This is why I wanted to sign Hartenstein. If one of Brook or Bobby gets injured Giannis will play more minutes at the Center position. Idk what Horst thinks about it. One more player I saw in SL is Jordan Bell who I guess is available.

As for the 3rd string PG , it is Donte. Imo we should just cut Bryant and sign Hartenstein or Jordan Bell or someone else at 3rd string C.
