Diakite should never see the floor.

Maybe if his name was Denise instead of Dennis.

I'd pretty easily be fine with cutting Diakite and Bryant in favor of Thanasis and another veteran. Those guys are in their mid-20's and just kind of are what they are. Millsap or Thanasis plus a veteran PG sounds good to me.

Diakite should never see the floor or the end of the bench again, especially the end of the bench. He ruined all the nice championship videos with his dumb celebrations

If Diakite was younger he'd be intriguing at his age with the amount of basketball he's played I'm not counting on him putting it together. Him and Bryant and non-consequential and god help us if we actually needed either of them.

Millsap? No, stay away from corpses. This is like when you were pining for trading for Cousins before he got cut.
There's still some interesting players available, younger guys like Vanderbilt, Hartenstein, and Giles.

Surprised no one has scooped up Hartenstein. Seems like a good Brook understudy-- has shown nice touch on offense, is a great rebounder, and has had some nice outings as a rim protector for the Cavs. Plus, he's younger than Diakite.
Vandy is an animal on D and the glass, but he is a huge liability on offense.

Bucks should try to get Liangelo Ball from the Hornets. They should be able to get him for almost nothing.

Hartenstein is the best fit for me. Feel like we need a big more than a pg.

Agreed, especially if Diakite doesn't stick. That'd leave us with Giannis, Brook and Bobby as the only guys taller than 6-8. Even if Diakite sticks, Hartenstein would be a good get in favor of Elijah.

I think Giannis is going to be playing more and more center progressively through the rest of his career.
In the meantime Lopez has been extremely durable and Portis seems hungry to build on last season’s success.
Basically am not opposed to another 5 but if there’s a more talented 4 out there I wouldn’t get hung up on the positions.

If we picked the guys that were selected with the picks we gave up, we'd have:
Mikal Bridges
Norman Powell
OG Anunoby
And we'd be in great shape for having a LOOOOONG string of championships.
Man, Jason Kidd is an ass; he did this.
I'm looking at the roster. We have quite a few guys that aren't even nba standard. In terms of young dudes, nothing to really get excited about. We own our 2022 1st round pick. I'd say we can't mess that one up since we traded the others away.
In reference to our title winning year

Re: Bucks News, Trade Ideas, Transactions
It does seem with the news that using the 60th pick to fill out the last roster spot saves them a few million in tax that it is likely the roster is set until buy out season.
Anyone they sign now costs like three or four times that in tax, which erases the savings from the 60th pick. Doubt they do that for the 13th or 14th man.
The plan could very well be to wait until the trade deadline/buyout season and see where they are at and who is available. Before more moves they may want to see how healthy DDV is, how Grayson fits in, if Hood or Semi can contribute, if Nwora can be trusted with minutes, and the overall team health.

I think we should corner the market on bouncy, athletic, white wings who are at least decent on defense. Clearly it's an undervalued commodity. Time to play MONEYBALL.
Lavine gets disqualified on the defense end, unless you think he'd be better in our system (and I guess he isn't white?). Who else might qualify?

I assume whatever is happening with Thanassis has been determined. Is there any reason for him to sign later rather than sooner?

Idk about all that, we might’ve grabbed all the guys in the entire nba that fits that description

man, maybe we've already cornered the market. https://www.ranker.com/list/top-white-nba-players-right-now-2018-2019/adam-mackenzie-stewart
Unless Franz Wagner qualifies as athletic.

Idk about all that, we might’ve grabbed all the guys in the entire nba that fits that description, and I can’t speak for him of course but I don’t think lavine would call himself white and this is the first time I’ve seen someone call him that lol. This is coming from a mixed guy on an anonymous basketball board so take that how you want. (Sorry if this breaks any rules mods)
Yeah, I don't know Lavine's ancestry; I guess bi- or multiracial.
this isn't about being racist, of course, but merely identifying an undervalued type of player. If there were undervalued Mongolian big men, we should get one of those.
so, my mention of Lavine was probably my most stupid post on this site. Good to have that behind me.

I know it’s not and it’s not easy to identify a guy like lavine or booker or young so don’t feel bad at all, believe me I get asked everywhere I go but to bring it back to basketball and the main point, guys like Allen and ddv and Pat definitely has that sneaky athleticism and it helps on the court and is a real thing.
I’ve even seen guys who know the nba on here call Allen unathletic when he was heavily recruited for his athleticism and his shooting was more of a work in progress coming out of high school. It seems the Pat/ddv/ curoso types that guys just imagine to come in and shoot 3s but flies in for putbacks and hound you on defense are a great way to get value in the league so we agree on that.
