I'd off myself if that was the starting lineup we ended up with.

Lol. Some ten years ago, a rookie poster would’ve been so trashed for posting something so outlandish. It still seems outlandish.

PG- Russell Westbrook - Kendrick Nunn

SG- Wayne Ellington - Talen Horton Tucker - Malik Monk

SF- Trevor Ariza - Kent Bazemore - Wes Matthews

PF- Lebron James - Carmelo Anthony - Paul Millsap - Jared Dudley

C- Anthony Davis - Marc Gasol - Dwight Howard

Alright lets finish this out...

PG: THT 16 | RW 16 | Nunn 16
SG: RW 16 | Monk 16 | Ellington 16
SF: Bazemore 12 | Ariza 12 | THT 12 | LBJ 12
PF: LBJ 20 | AD 14 | Melo 12 | Ariza 2
C: AD 14 | Howard 20 | Gasol 14

Starting THT at PG only means he brings the ball up and hands it off to LBJ and RW on offense. On defense, his length will bother most PGs. Plus, his shot should start falling from 3 in his third season like it does for many.

I’m serious about the 16 x 3 split. It’s going to be a tough competitive race for these guys at each position.

If there’s young defenders to be had, go after them. Otherwise, Nance Jr or Millsap sound great if still around.

Russ and AD last played 32 and 28 minutes, respectively, during their rookie season. Russ has yet to show any signs of slowing down. I do not see any scenario in which Russ plays 32 minutes. I get that AD is injury prone, but geez, only 28 minutes? lol It's similar to thinking the best way to preserve your car is by keeping it stored inside your garage and only taking it out for a drive every once in a while. To the best of my knowledge he doesn't have any degenerative issues that will worsen the more he plays. I thought we were extremely cautious with his calf/Achilles injury... how did this work out?

That’s my prediction. Maybe I should explain why I think so? I figured I’d better not, but ok.

A lot of games will be blowouts. That’s what I base my minutes prediction on. Our bench is full of veterans who won’t easily let leads disappear. I don’t think that our stars will have to play much more than what I posted. That’s my prediction. In tight games, yes, I expect the big three to each play 36 minutes or more, as needed. But not on a November Tuesday against the Kings where we should be up by 30 after three quarters.

It would be absolutely beautiful to see bron AD Westbrook and carmelo all get a championship together this year. I can't wait for this to happen.

Our only enemy will be health and the one-off, malicious solomon hills.

Hopefully nba will back down a bit on load management this year.

Russ / THT / Nunn
Nunn / Monk / Bazemore / Ellington
Bron / Ariza / Bazemore / THT
AD / Melo /Bron
Gasol / DH / AD

Reason: Our starting lineup will have Russ, Bron and AD. With Russ and Bron, we have the passers so would need to add shooters to stretch the floor in Nunn and Gasol. The SG role was most difficult to predict. THT is the future but this season Nunn, Monk and Bazemore deserve it more. Nunn with his youth and starting role in Miami makes most sense.

Our roster is so deep and versatile, I think we have have a ton of mixing and matching. I expect Bron to sit a lot more this season to conserve his energy to the start and close of games. This is when Russ can take over and direct the team with a mix of Nunn, Monk, THT and Bazemore playing 2/3 position.

When Russ sits, THT will take over the point guard spot. The rotation and depth is so sweat that Vogel will have a field day. I also expect Gasol to sit more and Howard, AD to rotate to center position.

The Lakers should limit the minutes DH plays alongside Russ as 2 poor shooters can halt our offense and it’s not necessary. Thus, we will need 1 more center like Millsap/Cousins to stretch the floor unless AD is really intent on playing more center position.

It’s insane that we can start Russell Westbrook, LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The offensive fire power is through the roof.

Assuming no significant injuries to star players, there will be a finals between Brooklyn and LA. What a star studded finals it would (will) be.

EDIT: Again, I predict a fun year of lots of garbage PT for our deepest bench members.

Now I just know you going to be one of the guys on here complaining about Defense when the season starts.

Or talking about how there is no floor spacing etc LOL

I can't wait for the season heck even pre- season will do for me :)

I don't mind this but as explained b4 ..

I see

C) Davis
PF) Bron
SF) Ariza?
SG) Ellington
PG) Westbrook

Will depend on match ups each game etc, but that will be main line up

Maybe THT at SG if he has a good shot this year??
