Everybody is losing their freaking minds. Nutbars and wingnuts have infested this forum. We've become a public lavatory without cleaning staff.

Agreed;
The kid can defend and he is only 23
On a min deal I would be interested to see what our development system could do with him.
Same age as Malachi, at 6-foot-4 with a 7-foot wingspan PG, with his defense, he is very much a Nurse/Masai-type of player

If I am M+B and clearly, I am of presence of mind to not pretend to be, I am giving Wainwright a commitment like Davis II got. Definition of a lockdown presence.

Haven't been able to see much of him recently since his minutes were cut short(er), but from what I did see, he was not an NBA calibre player.
Not sure why Thibs refused to send him down to the G league. Pretty odd decision but he would need lots of PT. He doesn't do anything well, at all. And this is going back to his days In France.
There are tons of better options in the development pool. I'd be wary of signing guys strictly for their wing span.

This guy is going to be a dog. I really think he's going to be the kind of guy closing out games for us.
Love his disposition and toughness.

Would love to see Wainright up against Smart or Beverly.

I would love to see us snap up veteran Millsap considering we have 3 very green prototypes in Precious, Barnes and Freddy G. If Raps want playoffs they need veteran presence with experience as in hete is how it is done Scottie.

I think Freddie is definitely gone (probably makes it to Sep 5 so he gets his 50k before getting cut).

PJ Tucker is the blueprint for Wainright to follow to make it in the league.

I love the Wiretap news (from Jon Krawczynski at The Athletic) about the Wolves wanting Ben Simmons but basically they don't have anything good to trade.

I think they have nice pieces to trade. And they could surely use his defense.StopitLeo wrote:I love the Wiretap news (from Jon Krawczynski at The Athletic) about the Wolves wanting Ben Simmons but basically they don't have anything good to trade.

Who you thinking? Russell is off an injury and definitely isn't worth that pay. Kat in a 3 way maybe but then who does Ben play with?
Edwards is really the only guy but I can't see them trading their #1 pick, leaving their offense weak.

Re: 2021 Free Agency News & Discussion Part 2
I was thinking Russell and two firsts. They're both flawed players, but Ben impacts winning more so two protected firsts should make that up. If you add Beasley or Edwards (which I wouldn't do) Philly would have to add Curry which I don't think they do. Don't think they would entertain trading KAT, and Philly wouldn't be interested anyway with Embiid, unless a third team was involved.Ackshun wrote:Rodrickle wrote:I think they have nice pieces to trade. ya they don't have to pay LaMelo until 3 years down the road anyways. Haywards's contract falls off when LaMelo is going to be maxxed out, at least from what we've seen, he will be.

Fair enough. Makes sense, all things considered.

and they'll probably trade Rozier when LaMelo is closer to his prime so they can convert asset to asset as time goes along. Rozier for a big/wing package deal. sets them up for it at least.
