Rivers, not as concerned about, he’s just on a 1-yr deal and can add to the bench. Think there were a few other players I would’ve looked at but he has the capability to get hot sometimes

I just hope it's not because PJ will not be ready, because, if PJ is ready to go, and Barton is too, why not give Bones some minutes as 3rd SG?

Barton and Dozier are likely going to be our backup SFs as well as SGs, so I am guessing that there will still be some minutes at SG until Murray gets back, and with the way Barton and Dozier seem to pick up injuries there will be plenty of time for Bones to earn some minutes by the end of the season.

Two interesting names to consider for this team are Jontay Porter to fill the backup C/PF option (obvious reasons to boot) and Daunte Exum. Saw both names on BR so not original from me but I liked the reasoning on Exum. Always saw his as a disappointment (and over-drafted) but he's been a decent backup in this league, could be useful due to his size, defense and speed. Could also mentor Hyland but adding him would probably come at the expense of Howard or Rivers

Interesting to see us attending Lance Stevenson's workout. He would actually be a nice fit IMO.

Could be my imagination running away with me but I found it interest to see the Nugget plan during Summer League. They were looking at Bol's playmaking skillset in the frontcourt, trying to evaluate Nnaji being able to create his own shot on the wing and utilizing Bones as a scoring PG.....anyone else finding how that could be an interesting bench unit ??

Yes, very likely. I also think that Nnaji was in the Covid protocol just prior to summer league and I think that effected his game because he was not his usual self. He should be better during training camp.

Nets :( and Warriors have interest in Millsap, can we get an asset with a S&T ? Seems like the popular thing to do these days.

Don't think they can sign Millsap since there are no empty roster spots left (other than the remaining 2-way spot), he's gone.

Pretty sure you can have 20 contracts on the roster though training camp

To execute a s&t, contract's length must be 3 years minimum, absolutely impossible in Millsap's case.

Additionally both BKN and GSW are beyond the apron, they are hard capped to do a S&T

Either are looking to sign Millsap on a veteran's minimum, if they can. Spotrac does not indicate that either BKN or GSW are hard capped.

These two teams have estimated tax bills for huge amounts, however.

He is big and very physical but he has one problem, he can't shoot from the outside and the Pistons will still want a strong return for him.

Pass.

Spurs waived Chandler Hutchison, is he worth a TC look ? I’d like him to get an invite or at least a 2-way opportunity

I agree with that proposal, we don´t have any clear backup SF (Barton, MPJ are starters and Dozier is not a real SF)

Saw that RJ Hampton has grown 2" since we traded him, sure wish we'd have gotten away with trading Bol Bol instead of him....

Nuggets added their 2nd 2-way contract, a name some are familiar with, welcome C/F Petr Cornelie

PJ Dozier will be better player over the next3 seasons than Barton -

Nnaji "" "" "" "" Green

bones "" "" "" Monte

Vital to the future to trade Barton, green, and Monte and/or facu - or are those the pieces needed for a title?

Barton's and Green's contract is only 2 years (Green with the player option), so don't think there's much chance they will be traded - if they are traded after only one season, it means they really sucked and in that case nobody is going to send value back anyway. Monte's contract otoh is great value, better backup pg is not coming at that money.

The Monte statement is pretty ignorant seeing as how he is only 26 years old. Dozier and Barton are also very different players and bring different things to the table, both are useful at the present. Dozier will get plenty of playing time as he was when he wasn't injured last year.
