Steph / Poole
Klay / Moody / Lee
Wiggins / Porter / Iguodala
Dray / JTA / Kuminga
Wiseman / Looney / Bjelica

I think that's the 14 for game 1 barring injury.

Bjelica has played more SF in the league than C. I think he'll backup Draymond

Warriors have a lot of wing depth with Klay, Iggy, Otto, Poole, Kuminga, Moody, Lee, Mulder

I'm thinking Lee and Mulder will become expendable especially if they want a more natural PG on the bench instead of having Poole being the only backup option

Payton II turning heads in summer league so far as well and I'd like to see him make the team

Still some decisions to make

Our starting C is 6'9 220, so Bjelica's gonna play C

OPJ and Kuminga are forwards (SF/PF), not wings (SG/SF), and Mulder is barely hanging on to a roster spot. Lee is a fringe rotation guy. Not much to worry about there

GP2 isn't a PG and isn't much of a scorer. I doubt we keep him, but one good SL game shouldnt be changing any minds

How do you know who the starting C is?

But as for the rotation ... I expect Bjelica to play a bunch with Green so which one is a C and which is PF is a matchup and play by play thing really.

Lee would really need to mess up in camp or get injured to lose his spot to mulder or GP2. Training camp will def be an interesting battle for the last 2 roster spots among these 3

wrong

89% of his poss in the league have been at the 4

8% at center

only 3% at SF

per bball ref

Yeah, Bjelica would be the fattest effing SF ever. I just pray this dude has worked on his body a little. If you thought Jokic was soft, this dude always made Jokic look like Dwight Howard.

The positions don’t matter. Bjelica will play big man. Warriors haven’t had a stretch big man and Bjelica will be that.

In case you guys didn’t notice, they didn’t sign another big man. Mo Speights

I stand corrected. I've been a fan of him for a while..since he played in Minny. I've seen him play mainly as a stretch 4 and occasionally as a 3 in Sacramento but maybe he is here to play the 5

Yes, obtusely, it could be Wiseman who's been injured all summer and is still trying to get in playing shape, or it could be the incumbent, who was 6'9 220

Guards (3+2): Curry, Klay, Poole, Q**, Cheesy**

Wings (5): Wiggins, Moody, Iguodala, Lee, Jessup

Forwards (4): Draymond, OPJ, Kuminga, JTA

Centers (3): Looney, Wiseman, Bjelica

Think Mulder/Jessup/GP2 are fighting over that last roster spot, and I'd give it to Jessup.. someone might snatch up GP2 but of the 3, Jessup has the most potential, and thats what a 15th man should be. Or hell, I wouldnt mind cutting Lee to keep GP2. Lee's really nothing special, has limited potential, and is likely outside of the rotation anyways

So with no more SL games to make an impression, is it essentially just a matter of who looks better during training camp practices to sway the Dubs' braintrust on who should get that final 15th spot? Who has the best shot at it - GP2, Mulder, Jessup, Chriss?

Someone told me a week or so ago that Jessup can't participate in training camp w/o a contract. Not sure if true.

Chriss >>>> Mulder/GP2

But did we give him an invite yet?

I think the problem with Chriss isn't his actual ability, but the amount of talent Warriors have for the 5. Chriss is clearly better than both those guys, by some margin, but look at this:
Dray - death lineup, ending games
Bjelica - stretch 5
JTA - Can switch with Dray between 4 and 5 when they play together, can guard some centers pretty well
Wiseman - athletic big that can hit 3s
Loon - high IQ team ball

The 4 and the 5 have more than enough players that can play there. The big priority right now is the back court, pressed even moreso until Klay's back.

Really hope its a player not named here, don't see the point in carrying a 27+ year old 15th man

Since we have 14 spots locked, and 13 can play any given nite, and since that 1 is going to be Klay to start the season.. give me the best shooter we can find

I always though Mudiay had decent potential. He’s three years younger than GP2.

Wouldn’t mind giving him a camp invite seeing how he is Kuminga’s cousin.

Add kuminga to the 4/5 group as well. I don’t expect him to get many minutes as a 3.

I agree Onus!

I see Kuminga as a big at this point. He plays big. Could be a dynamic small ball five at some point.

He’s got plenty of skills to hone, and will be able to seamlessly switch to small forward on defense, but I don’t think he’s going to be the type of small ball forward we normally think about.

Only reason i don’t really want to give GP2 a roster spot is because I want Kuminga to wear 0………that 00 is a going to give me a seizure if that’s his permanent number
