Mann reminds me of Dennis Schroeder.

Hopefully quite a bit better of a shooter. Dennis was pretty decent defensively when locked on. I haven’t watched enough of Mann to know if he can do that but his wingspan is about 4 inches shorter.

He does some nice things. I just get a bit of that, pretty good, not quite good enough at any one thing vibe from him. Hope I'm proven wrong.

My man is da Silva. He does a lot of good plays. Could imagine him as the second two way guy.

I don't mind about Mann missing so many easy shots right now but damn that's a depressing summer league overall (even a pessimistic like me had higher exceptations).

Hope everything's ok w/ him, first meaningful summer league in years and it's gone about as poorly as possible. Probably no Giddey either is going to make for an incredibly ugly last couple games.

It isn't uncommon though for first rounders to start sitting as SL goes on, the end of it is usually just guys trying to make a roster/G-league.

Sure. Don't really care about the Summer league. Hope nothing serious for him.

Somehow first games of next season gonna be more interesting now with a SL without Mann and Giddey (and Poku the future MVP of course).

It sure would have been nice to see something more from any of the young guys to get prematurely excited about. I realize summer league is meaningless but our team is going to suck for the foreseeable future. It really stinks having a feeling of disappointment for the next two months while the rockets are the feel good story of the story of the summer after they lucked in to their pick by properly tanking and we passed on the draft’s most popular Euro.

I bet its made up if I had to guess. Either that or its something incredibly minor and the team was just like, 'Tre, we got this, we've seen enough. Take care of business.'

Fabricated or not, OKC is pretty ready to support its players in times of need. I would imagine with newly drafted players and about a week turnaround to play pro ball, there's a lot of real life stuff to do to get prepared and ready for the full season. Mann's family or living situation might be in need, hopefully all is well.

Abrines had personal matters (sickness in Spain), Ferguson (his kid or GF was having issues), Russ took a game or two off time for his birth of his child, same with Schroder, the list goes on (Anthony trade and getting his full salary bought out from ATL via that transaction, PG going to LAC his preferred location, etc, Horford PT and sitting out). The list goes on it seems.

I think we get too invested in SL, it's just glorified exhibition, but I really enjoy the games W or L, good to see guys out there playing for each other and hoopin' as best they can.

What an awful game against the Pacers. I really hope that Brown Jr and J.Hall don't come back to training camp in september. Can't see what Management finds on those players. Also T. Maledon was really bad this game. Only Robinson-Earl did his part.

Not a great showing from the young fellas against the SC Warriors today. Maledon had a nice first half then fell off hard. Wiggins still shows flashes. Vit looks completely unbalanced on his dribble and his J was totally busted today.

I watched a handful of the OKC Blue games over the week, I think they've actually done a pretty good job to start the season with what they have on the roster.

Highlights:
DJ Wilson, Rob Edwards, Maldon/Roby (in limited appearances), Mann

Wilson is a pretty solid PF/mobile wing, and he's been impacting games with shooting and defense, good positioning in general. I think he gets a chance in the NBA more this year.

Mann is definitely playing better and looks like he can improve - has issues with handle under pressure but his shot looks confident and he's making plays around the rim, too.

Edwards is a sharpshooter but hasn't been afraid of driving either, he's undersized but is not a bad option for the GLeague as a shooter for the Blue. I'm not sure he's going to do well enough in the NBA, at this level providing some good PPG.

Roby and Maledon have looked more effective vs. GLeague this year in their few appearances. Maledon was hitting big shots vs. the Agua Caliente Clips and Roby really took over vs. Santa Cruz in one game. They aren't looking lost and take over in spurts, so good improvements there.

Lindy Waters III on the Blue is a good story, and it's also nice to see Jaylen Hoard, Olivier Sarr, and Maledon all adding some French flair to the GLeague roster.

Lowlights:

Paul Watson, who is on a 2-Way contract, and Vit Krecji still finding groove. Krecji needs a year to get up to NBA speed and recover from his knee injury, but he's got game - He'll get torched as a defender in the NBA. Watson is very inconsistent so far, seems out of control.

Hoard, even after 1-yr in the NBA, seems uncoordinated and slow, Jaworski looks too small even though he's 6'3. BBQ Chicken every possession.
