I’m talking the entire lineup.

Doesn't the whole team have 7 foot wingspans? :)

Some perspective:

-At least 3 good scottie dimes in the first half were not caught by teammates.

-he has no space to work with , playing with these teammates.

-he WILL look better playing with better teammates

-hes had pretty much no pick n rolls run for him and that might be his best shot at being effective in the halfcourt.

-hes young. He just has to learn to be agressive. A lot of great players had this same issue at first.

-hes REALLY good defensively. He started off playing kai jokes as a 5 and he finished the half defending pgs. I think thats really where those combine performances show.

-breathe. Its fine.

I'm loving all negativity about Barnes in a summer league game thread. The Raptors board is BACK! I actually prefer Barnes over Suggs. Remember we are the Raptors, we have to take home run swings in the draft to land game-changing talent because we literally will never, ever sign a star free agent. I'm looking forward to seeing Barnes in actual NBA games I think he'll thrive in a more structured system and surrounded by talent.

When he gets passed the ball in the halfcourt (as seldom as it is), both he and I have absolutely no clue how he's going to hypothetically put the ball through the hoop. I wrongly believed that he was some athletic bouncy freak, who could finish strong in traffic.

He’s had tons of touches but keeps swinging the ball or driving and dishing to no hands Freddie

Barnes is fine later lottery or outside the lottery because he is a project. His ceiling is manufactured from this board because they hope they see a Kawhi type though and that’s a far far far reach.

Late picks you can go for these types of guys but Masai tried to be cheeky for no reason.

You can do it at 20 and miss on Bruno because at that point, you have no sure thing, but at 4 you need to go both upside along with sure thing.

Scotties so called ceiling is a hope and a prayer not a reality that he’s better than guys picked below him.

 Yeah, i don't get the salivating over a guy when it's all about everything except for what they can actually do in a basketball game.

If you pay attention, he's setting the table for his teammates and trying to make our offense run more smoothly. But his teammates are either chucking it up when they should keep swinging it or fumbling his passes away when he sets the table for them.

He's got a long way to go in some areas, but he's shown flashes of elite playmaking skills. He's unselfish (maybe to a fault), but I don't think ever really been on a team where he had to be the go-to scoring option. But he should look good with shooters like Fred, OG, and Trent and a guy in Siakam who wants to score.

Raps need the clamps from the first quarter! Only way they get back into the game.

It's impossible to be a good defender and not have a feel for the game. Chill. And by what you're saying, only dribbling and shooting count as talent. Seriously dude chill. I would love to see you enjoy yourself

?? Of all the things you CAN knock Scottie, you choose "feel for the game"? Really? His feel is prob his most NBA-ready asset.

There we go Flynn! Precious and Flynn in the pick and roll needs to be continued! Hopefully Barnes can get into those types of plays as well.
