Those flashes of Scottie taking over on both ends of the floor are tantalizing.

I think his best offense in the summer league has come out of the post.

Where are all those people that said Gillespie ruined our tank? That honestly might be the worst take I have ever seen.

I like Gillespie and wish him the best but I'd be shocked if he carved out a career in the NBA.

Gillespie singlehandedly making some of these box score watchers think Barnes isn't playing very well. Barnes should have at least 3 or 4 more assists just from passes to Gillespie that were fumbled or not converted despite being wide open.

Barnes should have a 13/4/5 type of game going right now.

the cool thing is when you do that, he tends to make the right read and find the open man. Versus someone like a Kuminga who, while definitely having scoring potential, forces his offense quite a bit.

Freddie wasn't THIS bad in the league last year. That guy literally has played himself out of the league at the point. When you're missing an easy two-foot shot, your mentally gone already.

Gillespie isn’t making the roster this year with this stuff. You have to feel for him, it looks mental. He was making some of those shots last year. I think they’ll keep him on the G League roster just because of what he did last year in limited time but he’s not making the roster like this.
