It's fun that we are playing an extra game.

I want to see a little more of Hauser in the next one. We could use his shooting on this team, even if it's in limited minutes, even if it's not this season.

Every team gets a 5th game, ours will just mean the “most.”

Hauser didn’t get set up much because our offense was so random with no PG. He kept making good passes and getting into good positions. He’s shown enough to warrant interest in tracking his Maine boxscores this season (and a handful of nights with the “big” club).

I feel like we need to give Mazzula some credit. Based on how good the team has done, being 4-0 and everything, IDK if our summer league team has ever been this good - but also the way he has presented himself in interviews and press conferences. He just seems like he is taking this (being head coach for the summer league team) seriously, he is a man with a plan and executing that plan.

Seems like a dude who could maybe one day be a head coach somewhere. I already was high on Udoka, but now liking this coaching staff even more. No wonder Mazzula was the only guy Udoka kept from the previous coaching staff

I agree that Begarin and Madar are both given another year back home, unless, we move Hauser to a regular contract and put both of them as 2-ways. I really don't see that happening though. I think obviously Pritchard and Nesmith have earned a large share of back up minutes this season, and I have renewed hope for Langford as well. I think Fernando would make a really good PF behind Tatum and someone other than Grant Williams and maybe Parker. I already have Bruno ahead of G. Will in my depth chart. I think we should keep Parker and Fernando as the backup PF's and trade G. Will and Dunn to clear cap space to get us back under the lux tax. Then trade Edwards. Surely, after this summer league, there has got to be some team willing to trade for him.

One of the things I've enjoyed most during the SL is watching this team play great defense. Even when their shots aren't falling, they don't give up anything defensively. I REALLY hope that the same defensive attitude will be seen on the real team this year. I hope this is a glimpse of what we can expect under the new management.

My boy Juhann is gonna be good. 2 games in a row now he's done that little crossover dribble into a pull-up jumper from just inisde the arc on the left wing.

People don't realize, that's a pretty elite move to make something out of nothing and create offense off the dribble and hit a shot like that...for a dude who just turned 19, with his frame and athleticism. He actually did it twice tonight, too - the crossover dribble into a smooth jumper from the 18 foot range.

He's a year away. It'll be interesting to see if we have him go back to his France team (which is moving up from the B division to A) or give him a 2-way contract. But either way it'll be interesting to watch his progress. By 2022-2023 season he'll be ready to contribute for the big club

He had a play towards the end of the game where he got the all on the fast break and really turned the jets on. He has this extra gear he can get to, like a running back who all of a sudden gets a burst.

I fell, however he is about 2 or 3 years away. He won't be getting much playing time on this current roster if we brought him over next season.

Is there a reason why you think "this current roster" is going to be the same roster we have a year from now? lol

You do realize our plan, right? The reason why Brad is bringin on of these guys (Schroder, Kanter, Richardson, etc.) for 1 yr deals, right?

So we can clear a bunch of these dudes off the roster, then sign a max contract free agent like Bradley Beal.

That will leave like 5 open roster spots, so a yr from now it'll make much more sense to have Begarin and Madar on this roster..

Seeing a lot of people say he's a 2/3 but I look at him as way more of a 4. What do you think?

Never thought of him as a 4 because he posted a pretty low rebounding % last season in France. To be a 4 in the NBA you're ideally at an 11% rebounding rate...definitely gotta be at least 10%. Begarin wasn't close to that. Meanwhile Begarin was bringing the ball up a decent amount in France and at the G-league elite camp and also has posted a good assist rate which leads me to believe he's closer to a 1 than a 4.

So yeah, I think he might look more like a 4 only cause he has put some weight on recently. Some sites list him at 192 lbs but at the g-league elite camp in July he came in at 214 lbs. So I think during this past season he put on 22 lbs. The russell westbrook comparison video was definitely before he gained the 22 lbs.

So I think if he can slim back down, he'll look more likely a wing than a 4.. I mean, look how fast he looks in the video here. I am hoping he gets to about 195-200 lbs which could be a happy medium where he loses enough weight to get hat speed back, but also keeps enough weight to have some strength.

Begarin has been my biggest surprise. I knew PP, Nesmith, and Romeo were going to be good, and Carsen and Hauser are who they are. Begarin was a wildcard but has played consistently good ball for the whole SL. He's the best pure athlete on the SL team too -- that play where he got the ball on the wing from Auguste, I thought he got it too far out to dunk it with the defender there, but he exploded to the rim with ease. More importantly, he has defended very well, even getting put on the other team's top player (like Joe). He's played with poise and confidence, has made the right pass, and has hustled in a smart way. Coming in, I thought he would be in for a real comeuppance playing against NBA hopefuls but he has not looked out of place at all. Make no mistake, he is still well below Nesmith/Romeo's level and he needs another year in France, but I'm surprised and impressed by how far along he is for a 19 year old. I could easily see him be part of the rotation the year after.

Madar on the flip side didn't quite live up to the hype. The injury was a bummer. I do think he did some good things out there, but not enough to warrant a roster spot on this year's team.

I wish we could give them 2-ways, but I guess that's not realistic given they are still under contract with their teams back home.

PP is coming. I hope we feature him more on offense.

Hauser seems like a rotation player, in the mold of Duncan Robinson. Kid's a baller with legit vision. Not the greatest athlete, but great 3 pt shooter.

Begarin seems like a keeper, too. I kinda like him more than Romoe. Shame that Romeo has been hurt so often.

Pissed Yam got hurt, he would've been given more of an oppotunity with PP removed from the squad(cause he too good).
