Mcbride got the minimum contract of 925M to gain more next year and a third-year is a team option.
If we trade Mitch and Knox for Myles Turner, we will have under 21M to sign Fournier and Burks.
If we trade Mitch, Knox and Obi for Myles Turner, we will have around 25M to sign Fournier and Burks.
We would need a little more than 27M to sign Fournier and Burks for 78/4 and 30/3 deals unless there was an unlikely bonus that does not count against the cap.
Very interesting, Richard. Do you remember where you read about the details of Noel's contract?
[edit] Agree with everything outlined after the first line.
I make it ~$18.1m for EF's first year and ~$9.5 for Burks's first year, so together let's say somewhere just less than ~$27.7m.
The only way I can realistically make this work (right now) is to throw in one of Burks/Noel/Walker as a sign and trade. (Obi just isn't enough extra ballast.) Still need Kev. And I still don't see the Pacers's objective.
The one other possibility I see is Mitch + Kevin + Obi + Grimes for Myles - again dependent on Grimes not being signed and able to be part of a trade right away.
fwiw, it's possible to sign-and-trade a team's renounced free agents (eg Frank),
but you can't sign them on the Room MLE and then trade them - they have to be signed in a way that could have been a 3 year (at least) contract ... so I just don't see how to use that.
