Embiid is a far more unique player than a defender who can only score in the fast break or dunkers spot. He also puts in way more effort in offseasons, cares about winning, and has shown the ability to mature/take leadership upon himself (not always)

Only Simmons apologists genuinely believe that Simmons is more impactful on winning than Embiid

Embiid is very good at:
1. Achieving cool stats in first round sweeps
2. Blamimg teammates
3. WWF Gestures
4. Being injured[/quote]

He was also closer to an MVP than Simmons probably ever will be in his career, and also he doesn't pass out of layups defended by Trae Young

i think everyone else has figured it out.. that's why he hasnt been traded yet cause 76ers are asking for a king's ransom for him... probably a paul george to clippers deal.. multiple firsts and pick swaps and a starter level player with potential (similar to SGA projection).. which doesnt seem like a price anyone wants to pay..

tbh ben simmons on that clippers team instead of pg with healthy kawhi sounds pretty damn nasty, especially when they go small.

I think some team still would, but I sure wouldn't want to be the team paying it. It's not like this season was the first time he's embarrassed himself in the playoffs, it's starting to look like he just is what he is

if that were true, they would've traded him for a bag of chips already.

That's the thing other teams dont want to flip that bill b/c he never reached his potential.

He's a all-star level player despite not being able to shoot a jump shot at his position. Worse players have gotten max deals right?

There's worse players than him with those wages. Every half decent bum in the league gets the bag in the NBA, best of a **** bunch will always get it. Simmons isn't going to get better and is deeply flawed, but he's better than other guys making 30m+.

nothing to do with you insinuating that Philly would let him go for nothing if they could. they clearly still think highly of his value considering the absurd requests.

That was not semi-bad. It was absolutely atrocious-- something that redefines your status and what you should get in the market...

2021 NBA Playoffs 1st Round = Simmons 14.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 9.2 assists, .640 field
Easily worthy of a max contract.

Even the the 2nd Round he averaged 9.9 points, 8.6 assists, 6.3 rebounds, .600 field, and forced Young into the worst shooting of his life. Philly may have won that series if SImmons had guarded Young for the entire series, but Doc Rivers chose the wrong match-ups.

Relative to their regular season averages, Embiid was worse in the 2019 Playoff vs. Toronto, with 17.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, .370 field. Embiid averaged 27.5 points, 13.6 rebounds, .484 field in 2018-19.

well, unfortunately for 76ers, clippers have absolutely zero asset to trade for simmons.. all their assets are with OKC in the paul george deal... maybe 76ers would take kawhi for simmons.. but no way ballmer would sign off on that..

Yea, and even with Ben having his worst shooting stretch of his career by a large margin, he still won his minutes and was a net positive in the series. Ben could have played better, but it's not like he was a liability out there and tanking the minutes he played.

The Sixers need for a shotcreator is the bigger issue in why they're stagnating in their playoff advances. Not Ben's lack of shooting.

Ben would be great and worth his contract on a team with a star guard. But not clogging up the paint /applying anti gravity for embiid.

Semi bad? He was atrocious. He was scared to shoot in every fourth quarter. Even passed up layups.

not in rest of series. your just exaggerating 1 game and pretending as if ben choked entire playoff career. lebron, curry these guys are bigger chokers.

Holy assumptions batman. This season was the first season Embiid came into camp in shape. Think about that.

Simmons is an all-star 3 out of his 4 seasons.
