Overalls don’t mean anything lol. Theres an attribute called intangibles and that controls everything. There can be a 84 ovr with his intangibles at 25. He can turn into a 89-90 overall with intangibles set to 99
Thx. That's what I was wondering. I had kind of assumed the overall rating was an average of all the skill ratings. But I saw Steph was a 96, and although that sounds perfectly fine as a rating for him since he's an incredible player and everything, I wondered how the defensive end factored in. Like I know Steph isn't terrible at defense, but he's no world beater either. So if the overall rating was an average of everything else, including defense, I got curious about how a not-great defender could end up as a 96 overall.
But they're just making the overall rating up, basically. Makes sense I guess, Steph is one of the very best players so you have to give him one of the very best overall ratings.
