Devonte Graham can’t play 48 mins for 82 games. Also plenty of folks at this time last year were talking about how Rozier carried the Celtics in the playoffs and Kemba’s never a No. 1. They switch teams and suddenly Kemba is covered like he’s a top-5 player and Rozier is suddenly Cory Higgins.

Somebody has to score points for this **** and I don’t think Mitch trusted Monk to do that. I hate that, but genuinely do think Rozier is far better than his stats last year on a team in disarray behind a star player who is a flat-earth truther and a degenerate malcontent.

I'm pretty proud of this take. :D

Have not batted 1.000 throughout history, but I kinda nailed it on this one. Couple others did, too.

my first message here; you are totally right, my friend. its good to see people like you who support Rozier.

i really got tired of seeing Rozier haters here. last year some people were saying "rozier did 30+ points and we lost again" but no. in those games team sucks so Rozier do 30+ points games because he feels like he must do it.

i am not saying that he is Bradley beal, but he is above the average player.

Comparing Rozier's numbers last year to this one, they are pretty much the same except for one thing: his 2P% is .536, compared to .436 last season. All those LaMelo-style scoop layups and step-back jumpers in the lane really add up.

The other, more modest improvements are that the steals are up 1.0 to 1.3 and blocks from .2 to .4 per game.

At this point I'd rather have rozier than kemba.

Most clutch players:

#1 = Lillard
#2 = Harden
#3 = TRo

Then everyone else...

I do not really understand why everyone is so quick to exclude Terry from our plans longterm, he just turned 27 which is young in today's sports world. He really is a great fit next to LaMelo as a sniper catch and shoot player who also is able to create his own shot.

His ability to close games this year was elite. Even if we do pay him a decent-sized contract, he is the perfect player build to eventually turn into a 6th man type for his final year or 2 under contract if we hand out a 4 year deal.

I am not ready to extend him yet, because if we underperform his trade value as an expiring will be super appetizing at the deadline, but no need to rush him out the door in my mind if things go well this year.

That's a great deal.

Sure hope that bump in percentages was real.

Love Terry but was not expecting this.

Wowzers. Where did that come from??

Could this be a result of what the front office saw from Bouk in SL?

Could be rounding but I had his max extension at $96.25M. Either way...

It's fair, I just didn't know if he was in the longterm plans, and also more than double what Devonte' got.

Really good NBA players get paid. 24ish million a year is a great deal for him.

$25m per year for Terry, starting next year?!? Holy hell this is a gamble if you ask me.

Listen, if we get a few more years of 20-21 Terry then this is a good deal. I am just not convinced we will. I hope he proves me wrong. I also don’t know what this means for Miles, but if this means we don’t extend Miles now we riot.

I mean, he’s been getting paid almost $20mil a year since coming over from Boston - so it’s not like it’s that much big of a jump.

And it’s not like he hasn’t been playing up to, and a lot of the time over, his contract.

I like it, less then I thought he would be getting too. Terry has that dog in him and works hard. That contract covers his prime years. I think we still (and better) resign Miles. PJ is likely out though. That is fine.

Exactly. He got a 4 million dollar a year raise after outplaying his previous contract bigtime in my opinion. I honestly thought he'd get more in free agency. I like it.

And once again, our FO shows how professionally tight lipped they are and how very little, if anything at all, gets leaked.

This seemed to get done under the radar and hasn’t been mentioned in the news at all.

I love it.

Maybe this should have been predictable. Mitch spoke glowingly of Terry, and he saved our asses many times last season. We let both Graham and Monk go, and stated most favorably to him Bouk does not appear that close to being a high level starter.

I'm a bit surprised we did this now instead of next season, not sure what the motivation is there unless we thought he might walk.

What I had:

$21.49M
$23.21M
$24.92M
$26.64M

but if it is $97M we're looking at:

$21.65M
$23.38M
$25.12M
$26.85M

Maybe they plan to feature him even more in the offence with more FGA’s on offer with no more Graham or Monk on the team, and they think he’ll improve again next season which would drive his price up even higher should he hit the FA market?

He is a pretty good SG to have next to Melo with his proven catch and shoot ability. If he was just 3 or 4 inches taller he might be perfect.

Agreed. I think he would have pulled in close to 30 from another team. Terry has done nothing but work, keep his clam shut and play hard. I like it. I think it also shows he really wanted to stay here because we showed faith in him when he got shipped out from Boston and was being dissed. His height is an issue but less so playing beside Ball as Terry can guard the opposing point and Ball is plenty tall to check their 2. It helps he has a bull dog build and mentality. Anyway, it gives us stability for the next few years and shows we will pay our better players (could be in question after Kemba, Devontae) and they want to stay.
