Amazing person, and a man of intellect and range.
Absolutely! I was a big fan his first few years & suggested at least a couple of times that we try to acquire him -- not a lot of interest.
In the last few years, IMO, Dinwiddie has contracted a slight case of "I need to be a star-itis," causing him to take too many shots. Still, he has it in him to be a very good player. Hope he flourishes for us.

If he wasn’t such a crypto acolyte, I’d like him a whole lot more. And I’m saying that during a bull run for crypto so all probably get nuked.

Spencer is clearly an articulate and intelligent young man.
Interesting that he mentioned Beal, Gafford, Rui, Kuzma, Harrell, KCP and Holiday as key members of the team. No mention of Deni, Bryant, Neto or Bertans though…

At around 4:19 they mentioned Rui, but I believe they showed a clip of Hutchinson dunking

Between DWiddie and Harrell we are going to talk some isht.
It's been a while since we ran a good trash talking game. Since like Gil and Caron. I like the attitude, raising the competitiveness of practices even to add pressure on yourself. When clicking this team is going to be fun.
Too many long twos taken though

I think the lowest percentage shot in the NBA is the fadeaway jumpshot. Kobe relied on it extensively during his last few years, so everyone tried to copy him. Well, just because it was effective for Kobe didn't mean it made sense for others to use it. It takes more talent than most players have.

He seemed comfortable with the shot within 15 feet. Outside of that, not so much, fadeaway or not. Similar to Westbrook. Hopefully, we’ll be running an offense where his outside shooting is limited.
The step back seems easier. The long fadeaway, really difficult.

I think he forced a lot of shots - trying to carry them, but that should change because he's playing with Brad - and I expect his shooting percentages to improve quite a bit. But the proof will be in the pudding. If his shooting doesn't improve, we'll have problems - and we'll probably need to find another PG.

Spencer is taller and longer than I thought. If he's healthy and doesn't try to do too much because he finally is a true major part of a team, then he will be a great great great player for us. That's actually what scares me about Kuzma. I feel like he sees this as his shot to average 30....smh

Re: Wizards set to acquire Spencer Dinwiddie
I forgot the detail that Harvard was Spencer Dinwiddie's safety school. They were among the teams that recruited him heavily, but he wanted to be in the Pac 12 since he would get more NBA exposure than in the Ivy League. Picked Colorado since he would be the unquestioned best player on the team. Counter-intuitively (given that his mom is a professor) his parents supported him in that, though his extended family thought he was an idiot for passing on a guaranteed 6 figure salary coming our of Harvard to chase an unlikely NBA dream.
Anyway, here's a supercut of 40 minutes of pick and roll plays by SD26. Because it's summer and there is nothing going on.

Trez had great chemistry with Lou Will. I think he could have a similar chemistry with Dinwiddie in the P&R if they get extended minutes together.

Harrell is a savant at running pick-and-roll. He knows exactly how to read a defense and get to the right spot. I really hope he'll be able to impart his wisdom to Gafford and Hachimura during the time he spends here.
