This doesn't seem to be the "splash" of all star level talent returned that they were thinking if true

Minnesota : Edwards, Curry, Simmons, McDaniels, KAT

Philly : DLo , Beasley, Thybulle, Harris, Embiid

That would be cool

Seems like they'd both be in Knick territory or below.

I’m curious to what it would take to get D Mitchell from Utah if he demanded it ..

They don’t need a center - Gobert
They don’t need PG - Conley (just extended)

Toppin fits next well to Gobert , but he obviously couldn’t be the centerpiece of a deal … maybe 4 first round picks and 2 first round swaps helps start off negotiations

I just need Frank to sign with the Mavs dammit!

I believe its a bidding war with the Jazz.

Obviously the salary will be the minimum. But there are other factors in play.

Texas has no state income tax but you can marry multiple wives in Utah...so it could be a hard choice.

RJ, Quickley, Obi and all our picks. Utah probably still says no unless he demands a trade
Mavs
C: Horford | Goga | Paul Reed |
PF: Lauri Markkanen | Randle | Tucker
SF: Trey Murphy | Trent | Anderson | Simone
SG: Vassell | Trent | Livingston
PG: Spida | Mann | Deuce

They've had the same team for damn near 3-4 years and have I think only 1 playoff win to show for it and actually regressed last year. They have pieces that I think would make Morey at least interested (Brogdon + Warren/LeVert) and would help alleviate Phily's late game shot creation issues. Since Indiana is anti tanking, this seems like a prime opportunity to get a somewhat young high talented player in there and boost him up , since they seem averse to tanking for one.

It might not seem like the sexiest trade Philly could make, but I think Brogdon and Warren or Levert make them instant title contenders in the East and shouldn't hamper their ability to get a real star in there going forward if they can grab some picks off of the Pacers as well.

The shooting of a lineup consisting of:

Brogdon
Curry
Green
Harris
Embiid

would be a nightmare for other teams to deal with and provides a nice defensive balance as well.

Pacers could pair Simmons with Sabonis and Turner. Two guys who can at least somewhat stretch the floor from the big man spots and let Simmons do his thing inside. Also him and Turner should form a nice dynamic defensive duo going forward. They also have Lamb, Duarte and whoever is left of LeVert or Warren after the trade to help alleviate the shot creation and spacing issues that come with playing Ben down the stretch. This is about as ideal of a situation as you can get around Ben realistically IMO.

Thoughts?

Sabonis and Turner are below-average 3pt shooters. The team will get less spacing with Simmons.

Are you certain that marrying multiple wives would be an actual benefit? Considering the state of relationships these days, I'm not sure.

Also, we don't know they'd even get the Simmons who played with confidence, or the one who was too afraid to make a shot at the rim. How could any team know? How could Simmons himself even know? What he did by blocking his teammates' attempts to connect is so rare I can't even recall if any other players have ever done that.

I think Utah would have to sell all the players and tank for Chad, Bates or Victor.

1) They are a small market and will lose their best player.

2) Players like Conley, Ingles, Bojan, Gay and Whiteside are over 32 years old, at the end of their careers.

3) Gobert is good but it can be a liability. You cant make a team around him. He and Clarkson already are 29 years old.

Utah would never do that. Jazz fans love that team, and they build their teams in this manner. they're one of the best 3 point shooting teams in the league with a star guard and a DPoY manning the 5. they have no reason to break up that team. They're a Mitchell going full D-Wade in a playoffs from winning a chip.

I like to think we are a RJ going full D-Wade in a playoffs away from winning a chip too. :P
