I just don't like selling stock when it's low. I think if Cam plays well in summer league or starts off getting 13-15 ppg you have to trade a lot less to get a star like Beal than you did before

The rumor is Hawks were offering #20 and future 1st(s), Teams were asking for Reddish. Hawks were willing. The other teams weren't willing to take future 1st since they anticipate us being a good team.

Hi guys, I come in peace.
Just wondering... would ATL be interested in a trade of Cam for WCS and Jalen Brunson.
Seems like you could use a big body Center... not sure if Gorgui Dieng is it and Okongwu is 6'8".
And Brunson could be a like-for-like back-up to Trae Young.
Cam is more talented than this package, for sure, but the package may provide the depth needed against Bucks/Nets/76ers in the present until Sharife and Jalen Johnson are ready to contribute?

Trae / Brunson
Huerter / Bogi
Hunter / Hill
Collins / Okongwu
Capela / WCS / Dieng

I would not be and you have not shown our roster and depth correctly:
Trae/Delon Wright is the backup - you forgot him/Cooper when he's ready
Bogi/Huerter - Bogi is the starter/Mays
Hunter/Cam/Hill is our emergency wing and hopefully not see many minutes this year.
Collins/Gallo/Johnson when ready
Capela/Dieng/Okongwu when he returns from injury.
Both Gallo and Collins have played spot minutes at center.
I'd rather pick up an emergency big in FAcy to fill that spot if needed, How much better is WCS than Dieng though.

Oops! Totally forgot Gallo and Delon Wright. You also have Lou.

I'd like Reddish but want to see ATL in the final over Nets, 76ers, Bucks.
Your team did so well with the young guys last season.

WCS vs Dieng, it's hard to say who is better because that's subjective. Guys like Giannis and Embiid will abuse both in the playoffs anyway. WCS is a longer body to throw at them, younger, more mobile. Dieng has more experience and can provide some spacing.

I totally forgot about Lou :D .
I don't see the Hawks moving Reddish unless it's in a package for real upgrade, like a superstar upgrade. They'll give him a chance to gain some consistency under Nate in lieu of breaking him into smaller pieces that don't move the needle. He was the other part of the Trae trade, I don't think they give him up that easily, particularly since he has shown flashes but so far has lacks consistency. Here's what the GM said recently:
Schlenk repeated that Reddish’s next step in his career should be about developing consistency. He’s shown flashes but hasn’t been able to do so for many consecutive games in a row. “He’s yet to play a full season — one, because of the pandemic, and the other because of injury. We’ve certainly seen flashes of what he could be, but what we haven’t seen is that consistency out of him to perform at that level. That’s the next step, which is building on that consistency every night. Having more and more flashes where that becomes the baseline and it’s not like Bitcoin. We’re looking for Microsoft stock here.”

...And you are right, Schlenk has done a really good job drafting.
Dieng v WCS - I'd call it a wash in general, not spectacular and both have strengths and weaknesses depending on team specific needs.

TIFWIW, the rumors currently swirling in Hawkland on Reddish trades pre-draft:
Two teams were offered Reddish:
Warriors - #7 for Reddish and #20,
Sixers - Gallo and Reddish for Simmons (Philly declined, asked for Hunter, Reddish, OO and a 1st, Hawks declined)
Two other teams made offers that were considered- Cavs and Pistons for 2022 1st, teams could not agree on protections, so Hawks passed.

I'd offer up Cooper, Reddish, and Gallo. Simmons is a horrific fit with Clint. I think you'd move him for a younger defensive shooting big.

Collins, JJ, and Simmons creates a log jam somewhat unless Collins can gain some weight and play center.

Via Chris Fedor, Cleveland.com

Cleveland has also explored the trade market. Kyle Anderson, Terrence Ross, Joe Ingles, Bojan Bogdanovic, Cam Reddish, T.J. Warren, Thaddeus Young, Tobias Harris, Jeremy Lamb and Harrison Barnes are all said to be available. Reddish is a player the Cavs liked in the 2019 draft. They’ve been in contact with Atlanta about him. But wings don’t come cheap.

In initial conversations, sources say most teams are asking for Cleveland’s 2022 first-round pick (with protections, of course), but that would be incredibly risky for a team with 60 wins the last three years which projects in a best-case scenario to competing for a Play-In spot this season. Without the future first-rounder, which the Cavs seem unwilling to put on the table for any of the “available” wings,

Suddenly, Cam signing with Klutch Sports and skipping out on Summer League is starting to make more sense...

Just more rumors, so again TIFWIW....

When Omar Wikes left Octagon for Klutch to run Klutch's Basketball Ops everyone left Octagon (Wilkes guys) for Klutch but Cam Reddish. This was a mistake for Cam..... The replacement of Omar at Octagon just wasn't as committed to Cam.

He did get Cam the workout with Steph but it was extremely light and Cam really didn't improve much based on what Atlanta felt he would have just staying in Atlanta. They really didn't like Cam's summer and the relationship TS had with his new agent was sour. Omar and TS has an elite relationship. Omar always delivers the goods. Omar knows how to communicate and invest in his clients. Atlanta loves Omar and because of that, has a tremendous relationship with Klutch.

Cam saved his career rejoining Omar is what he was told. In fact, Atlanta took him off the market once they got word Omar was going to be Cam's agent. It doesn't help his previous agent was trying to steer Cam to GS to play with Steph.....

Have I ever mentioned him before? Strange question....but no. He can walk right in front of me and slap me and I wouldn't know him.

Hawks now have Cam's picture in the dead center of their new marketing campaign.

Seems like the team is trying to make amends.

I'm curious to see who Cam is next season especially as a shooter. Is he the guy that played in his first 2 regular seasons or the guy that looked so great vs Milwaukee in the playoffs? Now I do not expect him to shoot 64% from 3 (like in the playoffs) but hopefully he gained a lot of shooting confidence in the playoffs and it carries over for more success.
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

With Cam it all comes down to shot selection. If he takes shots when his feet are square and he has good balance I like his chances. When he starts thinking he's James Harden step back machine then he has problems.

He just needs to continue to grow and mature and learn the game of basketball and he'll continue to improve.
