Phoenix Suns Predictions

1- Monty Williams will win coach of the year 

In just his second season as head coach of the Phoenix Suns, Monty Williams lead them to their first NBA Finals appearance in almost 30 years. This is just one season after they went 8-0 in the bubble, even though they missed the playoffs, they showed a ton of promise with a young and developing squad.

The addition of Chris Paul also did help out immensely, but Williams did build the foundation for them heading into the 2020-21 NBA season which they took to heart and used as motivation for their surprise run to the 2021 NBA Finals. With his calming presence, poise, and sound leadership, Williams has evolved into one of the best coaches in the league today.

Given the massive turnaround the Suns just pulled off this past season, there’s no denying they’ll at least be a three seed in the Western Conference. It can also be expected that they’ll be making another deep playoff run next season. With all this in the works for Phoenix, Monty Williams will most assuredly win NBA coach of the year next season.

2- DeAndre Ayton will win the most improved player award

After playing alongside Chris Paul for just one season, DeAndre Ayton showed a ton of improvement in his game all across the board. During their NBA Finals run this past season, Ayton showed dominance on the glass to go along with a wide array of post moves, strong finishes at the rim, and an elite defensive showing.

His defensive presence came up huge for them during their second-round series against the Nuggets when he completely took NBA MVP Nikola Jokic out of his element and forced him to be more of a facilitator than a scorer. If Ayton can keep this improved level of production up throughout the 2021-22 NBA season, then there’s no doubt he’ll be the winner of the NBA Most Improved Player award in 2022.

3- The Phoenix Suns will win the NBA title for the 2021-22 NBA season

After coming within just two games of hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy, the Suns will definitely be back with a vengeance next season and look to capitalize on their progress from last season. With Chris Paul and Devin Booker locked in and ready to make a big splash once again during the 2021-22 NBA season, the Suns will be looking to prove all the haters wrong and bring home an NBA title in a dominating fashion.

Even with Western Conference powerhouses like the Lakers, Warriors, Nuggets, and Jazz all expected be back at full strength next season, the Suns will be ready for the challenge and have added quality depth at the center and guard spots with the signings of NBA champion JaVale McGee and two-way combo guard Landry Shamet. Now that their star trio of Paul, Booker, and Ayton have all had an additional offseason to build even stronger team chemistry, the Phoenix Suns will come back fiercer and more experienced heading into next season.

Now with a stacked Western Conference that will be back in full swing and a top-heavy Eastern Conference that’s loaded with talent, the Suns will definitely have their work cut out for them throughout the entirety of the 2021-22 NBA season. With Chris Paul running the show and a deep and determined Suns team behind him, there’s no denying the fact that the Suns have what it takes to storm their way back to the NBA Finals and bring home the title for the first time in franchise history.

Especially with a top-tier coaching staff and a perfectly balanced roster consisting of savvy veterans, All-Star caliber talent, and young and developing players learning the ropes of a championship culture in Phoenix. Having said all that, the Phoenix Suns most assuredly have what it takes to come out on top and win it all next year.

So I realize that I may be in the minority on this, But I have Bridges in the 16-18 million range honestly in terms of market value. AND around 18 million as the max that I'd be comfortable paying him personally ( Every dollar counts going forward)

I absolutely do think we'll get him signed for 17-18 million when all is said and done! What do you guys have his market value at, AND what amount to you ultimately believe he signs for??

So I realize that I may be in the minority on this, But I have Bridges in the 16-18 million range honestly in terms of market value. AND around 18 million as the max that I'd be comfortable paying him personally ( Every dollar counts going forward)

I absolutely do think we'll get him signed for 17-18 million when all is said and done! What do you guys have his market value at, AND what amount to you ultimately believe he signs for??

he's getting 20-25 a year either from us or someone else, he is the epitome of 3 and d that every team is looking for, plus he is well liked, apparently a hard worker, young and durable

I echo your sentiment in terms of value but would be willing to go up as much as 20 mill per year. He's just not there offensively, IMO, to warrant $25 mill per year.

That's riskier for him security wise AND he loses the Option 1 avenue. However unlikely that may still seem.

Robert Williams got $13.7M per year and he is way worse than Ayton.

I don't think Bridges has the mentality to transition into a star but at $20m he would still be a positive asset.

It would be the equivilent of Bledsoe at around $13m in the 2010s.

So we would have optionality, we get his production and at any time can swing for a big move, I don't think he'd be far behind Simmons as a young asset.

Rondo is 35, he has had a ton of injuries and he has been terrible this past season. But even with all of that I think he is gonna get bought out and then he probably will sign a two-year deal with that second year partially guaranteed. I can see him on the Lakers.

A road back to back can be a long road trip. For example if they had to play the Kings one day and then the next day it was the Knicks, that’s still a pretty long road trip.

I think he gets about 4/$85.

We will be over cap regardless with this signing so signing him for less doesn't create cap space. So not sure why fans would care a lot unless they are concerned with Sarver's wallet.
