OT: Bears Talk - Justin Fields era begins

If your offense can only produced 3 and outs it’s the quickest way to rack up injuries with your defense. Dalton is a liability, if he can’t move the offense and give our defense rest, our defense will be forced to play fatigued all game. And when you play fatigued injuries will be soon to pile up. And if fields won’t start until week 4 or 5 it won’t mean anything because our defense will likely be injury riddled.

I can't understand people bagging on Pace over Teven Jenkins getting injured. The guy just landed what could be the best QB the Bears have had in my lifetime (60 years).

Body of work. This type of thinking is exactly why people are worshipping Ditka almost 40 years later for having 2 good seasons, the dude was a trash coach and an even worse GM who rode Buddy Ryans coattails to a superbowl.

Chicago spots fans have such a loser mindset. You can commend a guy when he makes a good move, but that shouldn't earn him 20 years of goodwill. You should be evaluated on your performance yearly and canned when you're not performing at or above the level of your peers.

They TRADED UP to draft a guy who they knew had a back injury (of which only 75-85% ever recover well enough to play football again), not only that but they moved him to LT (which he hasn't played) and cut all LT's on the roster and gave the position to him without ever having played a snap.

This situation is a firable offense all on its own regardless of what else he's done and spoilers what he's done before this has been hot garbage.

Regardless of how great Justin Fields is (which remains to be seen) Pace and Nagy need to GTFO, they're both trash.

God the Ditka love has always gotten me. Has anyone ever given away more than the Ricky Williams trade? Anyway fully agree with Buddy Ryan being the reason his Bears team were so good.

I am also very much not a fan of Pace and Nagy. We are stuck with it for now though so you have to hope for the best at this point but they would have been run out of town a long time ago if it were my choice.

Take away that 74 yard TD and that's 10-16 for 66.

He's a backup, there's no way he comes out and has the offense moving in week 1. There's just not enough talent inside of him for him to be a success.
