This here is a edited chunk of a game from 11/19/86 that shows y'all's 87 floor, black and grey. I collected a gigantic number of Laker games w/ like 15-20 vs almost every opponent, including SA, both Ws and Ls. This is the ONLY footage I've ever found or seen of this particular floor. I like it and the 88 all light grey floor (I have 3 full gms w/ that one). So here it is, young boyz n gurlz. I wonder why they went from the RWB floor to this black/grey one to the all grey one to Fiesta colors and had those Fiestas for years n years. I've talked to Spurs fans before who told me truthfully that they didn't like the Fiesta colorway. I dunno. I'm just one of them Lakerfan varmints. What do I know?
To me, I like both of em. I like the 88 one better cus I like those rare full court paintjobs regardless of the color. They look weird n cool. SEA had an all green floor like that at the old Kingdome.

Thanks, NPZ! That was the old HemisFair Arena during the ABA/NBA transition. In I think 1993 we moved to Alamodome (fiesta colours era) then to the current AT&T Center. I vaguely recall the first video's colour scheme, but not the second. Both are nice and clean, but the second white on white in the paint and FT area are a bit jarring.
Here's some additional info about the HemisFair Arena:
