Redick must want big money still or he's injured/needs to retire, no one wants him for the vet min? Yikes.

he was down on the one thing he does/did well, shooting. Defensively he might be worst at this age,

as a player, hell YES, but at what cost??? would Boston even be willing to give up a player (Houston doesn't need wings) and a first??? 1sts equal assets that we are supposed to save for a BEAL move.

If by Allstar break Boston/Tatum gets the indication Beal won't be coming, then trade away for C Wood I say.

Unless.... Smart for C Wood????? :o

OK who says No!

I am not sure. He strikes me as a player who can sign mid-season for a contender if there is an injury and step in right away. Maybe it's better both team and player wait for that to happen.

JJ said in his podcast that he will not start the season. He plans to join a contender later.

Grant looking like he's in good shape:

Looks like he's slimmed down a little(maybe he'll be quicker now), while at the same time more tone/strong as opposed to chunky.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

BTW, has Stevens stated that he is NOT hiring a GM (or lieutenant GM)? About a month ago there was talk about a couple of candidates being considered, now crickets.

Believe hiring a GM is now the focus, with draft and FA all but done and dusted.

JRich extension opens the door for him to be moved with Horford, either a deal next offseason or we put all our chips on the 2023 FA class I feel.

Might as well...I'm assuming the 2nd year of the extension is non guaranteed. Or is this just a 1 year extension?

Richardson extension is a bit of a surprise.. don’t really follow. Wasn’t the plan to threaten to sign Beal out right?

I thought so too initially. That plan, however, mostly went out the window with the Smart extension. Not many teams with space, so, they would have to find the perfect storm of a team that would trade an expiring deal + future pick at the deadline.

Assuming this IS a 1 + team option deal for Richardson, he becomes an asset in trade if that 2nd year is team controlled. Win for Richardson too as he likely would have only received an MLE deal this offseason.

1 year extension, so 2 years in total including this one

Moveable, expiring deals are the next best thing to cap space

:dontknow: Kind of an odd way to announce this if it's only a one year extension. Why not just say a one year 12.4mm extension or "for a little over 12m?"
