At risk of being obvious here--any trade that doesn't make you feel a little nervous or that you be at risk of losing is probably an unrealistic one. Teams would only be interested in Maxey+Thybulle in a trade for a star if those guys had a chance of becoming really good, so that's what we're putting up in a hypothetical trade here. They're also both at risk of becoming nothing special, so there's a real chance we would clobber the other team in a trade in which they're major parts.

Part of the whole drama of being a fan is to tear hair out when you lose a trade or let go the wrong guy. A lot of times in Philly we forget to have the opposite reaction when we win a trade or draft pick or whatever, or at least break even. A good and realistic trade means either thing could happen.

I love when Ben fanboys use that argument without considering that 2020 team what as poorly constructed around Embiid as possible. Simmons is a valuable player of course, but it's hilarious how you guys are ignoring facts to hype your boy.

If there is s star on the table then everyone is tradeable.

Maxey and Thybulle would be icing if the team was already set.

Thats standart overvaluing of young guys. Maxey and Thybulle aren't some can't miss prospects. Most of the teams have that king of players.
They absolutely should and would be on the table if a star is available.

Ask the Pelicans if they are interested in both for Ingram. Look I like them and they are our top 3 assets atm.

The timelines are iffy at best here. The goal should always be putting together the best starting unit you can.

Harris is a big hold up though I’m sure Morey knows that. Doesn’t add enough on offense (not what we need) and not a defender and he’s a slow moving SF.

We basically traded Ralph Sampson to get Moses Malone. That was our last title.

Thybulle should be sold high on. Not trading Maxey unless it's in a deal for a Harden level older guy (no Lillard) or a Fox/SGA level younger guy.

All the trades suggestions are targeting the same type of player.

Maxey for a star

Thybulle should be for speculative or an add on in a package.

Plenty of young talent around. Shake as the extra if need be. Same with Reed and Springer

I like both and all of them but team needs comes first always.

We still need to hit on the PG and SG spots. It’s been 5 seasons starting soon so it’s incompetence more than anything else.

I mean Ball is a starter lvl and we can’t even achieve that lol

And Maxey and Springer don’t fit the timeline and Shake obviously isn’t it.

Outside of the bigger moves that Morey has to contend with

I’m looking more towards younger better fitting pieces to add on:

NAW
Kira
Simons
White

Yes yes to all. Milton, Kork, Reed, Springer, Thybulle all on the table.

I do think Simons will break out sooner or later and I would extend him at 18/3 right away see if he bites at it :) :)

His game production at above 25mins is $$$. 11.5 ppg on 46% 3 ball on high volume and can get super hot with an expansion of role on our squad. He played behind Dame, CJ, now Powell and Anthony with little room to create.

Happy days I like the kid.

Yep getting gun shy of what could be vs what actually is.

Like Milton for example if the Blazers are stupid enough to give us Simons for Shake because they just made his backlog of playing time harder (signed Powell why I have no idea) because it’s cheaper without the more $$$ to resign coming up.

We say thank you and gladly do it.
