Also if the players 100% determine the fate of a team, does that mean... That the defensive scheme... Doesn't matter? Way to argue against oneself

Realistically we have one roster spot, right? And Bryant, Diakite and whoever we potentially bring in fighting for it. It may end up being his market but I would be surprised if Frank has no better options than a small chance at a roster spot in the NBA. So many worse players get multiple chances and so many players with worse outlooks at being a potnetial NBA player than Frank are on NBA rosters (mostly former draft picks that are still under their rookie contract). Hartenstein for example is another guy who may never be good enough, but has shown fringe playability with Phoenix, Denver and Cleaveland and clearly should get a chance over other bigs currently under contract. Cheick Diallo is miles better and only 4 month older than Mamadi but he's in Europe while Mamadi gets a chance on a contender.

Well said... Meanwhile a few realgm posters...

"Hello... yes, I'd like to cancel my billboard advert please....."

I think my favorite type of Bucks fan is the one who both loudly celebrated the Bud hire as a "home run" and called for his head every other day early-to-mid season last year...

Anyway, Bud's best attribute is his ability to put ego aside and ask his players for advice. Fully recognizing that this is in fact a player's league. Bud was one of the reasons we'll have a banner hanging at Fiserv in a couple months. And I thank him for that.

In my defense, I only called for his head once a week. But I am on record stating Bucks would never win a title with Bud. Still enjoying the fabulous taste of Crow especially paired with a full bodied Chardonnay. Congrats Bud! Pay the man!

I don't think folks were wrong for bashing Bud. This has the faint whiff of the Mike McCarthy saga, where he was much maligned, went on a stunning run to win a Super Bowl, basically got immunity from criticism as a result, and went on to waste the prime years of Rodgers's career with some of his decision making.

My broader point being - sure, extend him. Winning a chip entitles you to it as a reward for the ultimate prize in your sport.

But if this team disappoints over the next couple years, they shouldn't hesitate to can him. The 2021 title should have no bearing on his longterm viability as coach of the Bucks.

Nah, Svi hasn't added anything to his game since reaching the NBA, nothing but a shooter.

It should have *some* bearing, it just shouldn't give him blanket immunity. The fact that we became contenders immediately when he took over should also factor in. He's clearly a very good coach even if that fully amateur 2-3 zone is still gnawing at me.

You always want to be able to bitch about one contract on this consarned internet forum, so I, for one, am appreciative of the new extension for Coach "Bud."

The title should buy him an automatic year, maybe two. (not a free decade like McCarthy was given) There is no excuse, outside of a major injury, for the Bucks to not be annual title contenders through Bud's contract. If they're coming up short for whatever reason, show him the door. Similar to his employment status going into this season. Except, again, the ring/banner should rightfully buy him a little "free" time.

Would it be unreasonable to ask for a small small progression from Bud to look at strategy of calling challenges, rather than saving them?

But for real, if dude went out like that I might start watching it tonight.

I watched the first season of that. The big bad bikers seemed like a bunch of p*ssies to me.

It’s a good show. Frustrating at times with what they did with certain characters though.

If the characters took 5 mins to talk to each other instead of just acting half of the crap that went down, wouldn't have lol.

I agree with you on these individual players, but I think they have to decide if they're ok with wanting the NBA more than it wants them. Svi also apparently in that group. I'm sure they can get a solid deal in another league, but is that their dream? If you're almost out of the league you want to be in, I think you take what's offered. Could be he's weighing multiple NBA offers but I doubt it.

An exhibit 10 keeps him in the pipeline, where he has no obligation and can get called up by anybody at any time. Matter of preference.

If we got a starting caliber sg in exchange for 2 of those guys (ideally pat and allen), i think we would be better off. Jrue, DDV, Hill, along with the guy we just get is excellent guard depth.

we already have two starting caliber SG.

I meant an upgrade. But hard to find a trade that works for that.

Rockets signed Tyler Bey. I liked him before the draft. Why did the Mavs release him?

Part of the question is how much per year. In the past five years or so, the coaches salaries have really jumped. Some of these guys are getting $10-$15mm per.
