A clear example of the public being smarter than the media.

I think arguably the thing that saddens me the most right now is how Fox News has successfully bullied the "mainstream media" into presenting the "moderate to right wing extremist" perspective as the entirety of the political spectrum in the United States. It's as if the left doesn't exist. I mean there's MSNBC I guess. But if you read WaPo or CNN or any of the mainstream mainstream news sources you'd have no ideas that opinions like the ones shown on MSNBC even exist. But boy are we ever aware of the opinions of every right wing terrorist sympathizer in America. Because those are opinions that are really important to magnify and rebroadcast.

Look at Afghanistan. It's as if the entire movement of radical lefties who opposed the war in Afghanistan *in 2002* never existed. Why wasn't WaPo going from coffee shop to coffee shop picking the brains of anti-war lefties back then?

A girl who grew up in north Korea and escaped was on the JRE podcast. She starts off talking about what it's like growing up there. Just unbelievable how bad it is.

She said the only thing you can really compare it to is the Holocaust.

Ok this has been bugging me so let's do the math:

https://www.apmresearchlab.org/covid/deaths-by-race

"Of the more than 520,000 cumulative U.S. deaths catalogued in this Color of Coronavirus update, these are the numbers of lives lost by group: Asian (17,747), Black (73,236), Indigenous (5,477), Latino (89,071), Pacific Islander (830) and White Americans (299,915). "

Here's how various races voted in 2020 POTUS race:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/exit-polls-president.html

Asian: 34%, Black 12%, indigenous no data, Latino 32%, white 58%

So doing the math, the total number of voters killed by Trump and his enablers' negligence is:

Trump voters: 217,276
Biden voters: 262,694

Trump's negligence managed to net him about 45,417 more voters, arguably one of the reasons the election was so close. This was back in March so before the vaccine was available.

So not like I wish death on anyone but it would be karmic justice if 45k more GOP voters die than Dems as a result of them refusing to get vaccinated between now and 2022. With a thousand people dying per day that doesn't seem unreasonable - as long as GOP deaths exceed Dem deaths by 103 per day between now and Nov 6 2022 (439 days).

These people are complete morons. There's no nicer way of saying it. They're so dense, they're causing me to defend Pence.

That's fine, but why is this just happening now - more than 7 months after the fact - rather than on January 7th?

Just pull the bandaid off. Americans are stupid and will forget about the whole thing after a few 24-hour news cycles.

Worked for Trump, Biden might as well use it too.

Yes, although I don't like the fact that Hassan conveniently let Obama off the hook in his rant. Obama was also complicit in continuing that hideous fake war and imprisoning Chelsea Manning for uncovering American war crimes.

But major, major, major props to Biden for sticking to his guns and not falling back on his evacuation plan. I think Biden is a complete goof for the most part, but this single act might be enough for me to support Biden at least in the short term.
