Is it crazy to wish we would have added Kuzma instead of PJ Tucker?

I just have such a terrible vision on our PF rotation, Tucker averaging 4 points playing 30 minutes and Morris looking like a waste of space. They'll put So much unneeded pressure on Bam to be an elite scorer, which he isn't.

I wouldn't worry too much, with Lowry at PG Butler can look to score more vs pass. At age 31 Butler posted his 2nd best scoring rate of 23pts per36 while also having career best rates of 7.6 ast per36 and getting 7.4 reb per36. Toss in a better PG from the 3pt line and his ability to put Bam in better scoring positions and this team should be fine scoring, Bam doesn't have to be a go to scorer, he got 20 a night in the flow of the offense, with better playmaking PG his efficiency and/or point production should go up without changing his game.

Miami also has a decent frontcout coming off the bench for the entire year in Dedmon and Morris, toss in Strus who can be off or hit a bunch of 3s, Herro is Herro and of course Vincent which is the biggest question mark for the bench but hopefully he does fine having a role and the stability of a contract behind him.

This is the best roster Miami has had since Butler joined them, the only issue is that the East has gotten better, there aren't as many easy teams to beat up on as in the recent past.

Washed stunted PJ Tucker >>> Kuzma

not even close.

Kuzma is the epitome of a good looking no substance fringe NBA player. he giveth he taketh very very bad awareness on the court

We all want Bam taking more shots. So it has to come from someone. Let it be Tucker

Incredibly, that is a massive improvement over last year's unis. Those have to be the worst of all-time for any franchise in any sport.

I don't have the same perspective. Though, I also live in a world where Bam plays the 4 and Omer and Dedmon play the 5.

Do you think Bam can run the pick n roll as a ballhandler?

I think Bam can do anything he wants. He's got such a great skill set.

Do you think he needs to be PnR ballhandler to play with Ded or Omer?

That's good stuff KW. A perspective I hadn't noted. Do we really need to change jerseys every year though? I loved the neon blue when it debuted. Feels like it has gotten out of control.

You see his follow through on his shot?

He swings his arms back behind his back. I hope that is just loose practice shooting because thats not his normal follow through if I recall.

You are worrying about his stats too much. We will have 4 other guys in the starting lineup averaging 15-25ppg. As long as Tucker can be a shooting threat from the corners he will do his job. I mean Tucker averaged 30mpg playing with Milwaukee in the playoffs and they won the championship and I'd argue Milwaukee's players fit worse with Tucker than our roster will so I think he will be fine.

I expect Jimmy to be similar to last year, around the 20-22 per game mark.

Bam should be good for 18-20. He averaged 18.7 last season, and I expect him to improve on that with a true PG on the floor getting him cleaner looks, along with a (hopefully) improved J.

Lowry 15-17ppg. Perhaps a little less than the 17.2ppg he averaged last season. Maybe something like 15.5 on 45%? Hoping for an efficiency lift in a better team.

Herro 15-17. Averaged 15.1ppg last year. Hopeful for a 3rd year leap where he can average a solid 17 a night on better efficiency, albeit his path to do so may be lessened given the depth of the roster.

Robinson 13-15. Averaged 13.1ppg last year. Again, hopeful he can increase his output a little and get more efficient again as a result of more scoring options and improved playmaking.
