I hate it. I hate most of what they have done with him. He has talent and is a natural heat drawing heel, but they have done a terrible job with his characters and his booking. If he would have been a juicer no question in my mind he'd be a main eventer but because he doesn't have the Vince look he's a jobber to the stars and ends up doing a bit too much comedy stuff.

I’ve always liked Corbin. His lone wolf gimmick in NXT was over. He was great as constable Corbin for a bit on Raw and his matches during the king of the ring were good (particularly his matches with Gable).

Unfortunately, the feud with Reigns did him no favors with all the bad comedy and dog food segments. The King Corbin thing ran far, far too long also.

He’s doing a good job with what he’s been given here though.

Loved the Cena/Reigns summer slam recap promo from last night. Loved Michael Cole’s line: “It will happen, Reigns, the greatest of THIS time. Cena, the greatest of ALL time at Summerslam.” And then Mcafee’s, “Reigns, the greatest of ALL time takes on Cena, the greatest of HIS time.” Pat’s so good (sometimes a little over the top) and is very compelling to listen to.

I get the feeling they’re throwing Finn into the mix to build him back up as a big deal/star going forward. So that once Cena’s away again, at least you have Finn there, who’s been rubbing elbows with Cena/Reigns and looking good. It makes the story a little more convoluted but should pay off if that’s what they’re going for.

Amazing way to start Smackdown. The Cena/Reigns stuff is so **** good. Both guys nailed it.

This Boogz guy has channel changing heat with me though.

Cena is just a treasure. Reigns held his own but John is just on his own level with the stick.

THAT CM PUNK REFERENCE WAS GOLD

John is just untouchable on the mic but major props to Reigns holding his own and playing along quite nicely while John is delivering his promo

Also, love the consistency with Bálor's character. His unpredictability from challenging whoever's on his way opens up multiple storylines

Trying to turn Lynch heel when the majority still want to cheer for her is insanely stupid. There isn't a female face in the company over enough to get the vocal majority to boo Lynch. All the WWE is doing is burying Belair. Unless they have some kind of corporate alliance between Lynch & the McMahons/HHH, crowds will continue to cheer her.

Maybe perfect time for Liv to get over and get destroyed by Becky

I’ll be honest. I think Lynch being a heel is perfect. She got over to her career changing level by being a heel. Once wwe actually started making her act like a babyface she got stale and boring. Hopefully she’s just going to be Stone Cold-ish where she straddles the line and it keeps her edgy.

WWE made her a babyface because the crowd kept cheering for her, her heel run never worked. I just don't see it working now, either. But I do agree about keeping her stone cold-ish. WWE is doing a very good job of that with Balor right now, she should be the same.

At the time Becky was organically getting over as a babyface and it ruined wwe’s build of Ronda v Charlotte so they tried turning her heel which only enhanced the crowds adoration. Very similar to Daniel Bryan’s rise.

I think the easy fix here is turning Bel Air heel which is probably the end game. She is just pretty dull as a babyface and perhaps the Lynch feud will give her some edge and ruthlessness.

Baron Corbin is damn good. He’s oddly believable in whatever role he’s playing.

Big E is too goofy for my sensibilities. His mannerisms, demeanor, expressions and promos are too jovial for me to take him seriously as a potential main event player.

Yeah, her heel run didn't work because the crowd would cheer her. Same thing is going to happen again.

Wwe is obsessed with trying to turn the 4 horsewomen into heels.

Most believable character in SD right now is the happy, grateful Corbin

To be fair, Bayley was super stale before she turned heel (crowd was visibly/audibly rejecting her) and Sasha and Charlotte are obviously better as natural heels. Becky can work as a tweener and fans adore her so her heel turn was puzzling though.

Corbin is great, but man they do him no favors with the terrible gimmicks they give him. Just because he's good enough to make it work, doesn't mean give him terrible gimmicks. Give him something good and he could be a main event heel.

Too much comedy with Corbin.

They should make him super serious, give him a dude or 2 that need a mouthpiece and let him draw heat on the mic.
