Nope, DV’s supersede warrants.

At the same time I agree with most, the cops need to do a better job of de-escalating. Instead of continuously telling him he's wrong, the officer should have tried to explain WHY they didn't need a warrant. If he just explained that may have prevented this. Also instead of everyone reaching for him then quietly saying he's being detained, make it clear that you are detaining him and he will be put in cuffs. If people start randomly grabbing at you for apparantly no reason, you're going to resist.
At the end of the day, as an authoritative body the cops have much more responsibility to ensure situations don't end up like this. There are many idiots in the world, you need to know how to deal with them or you're pointless.

It wasn't his house. & responding to a domestic violence complaint is not "skirting the law" even if it were.

Molehills? Wow, you really think this world is full of fairies and good guys eh? I shape my views off personal experiences, others experiences and from my research & knowledge. Not simply flipping CNN or being closed minded like some people...
You are the only person here name calling and making assumptions. Not too worldly or knowledgeable of you.
You literally just stereotyped and called black people gang bangers, white people racist honkies, Indian people own 7/11 and Middle easterns are terrorists. You are definitely delusional, making your own assumptions, attacking people of ethnicities. Enjoy that privilege.
Harcore Fenton Mun wrote:If you own the house and say "No", that's good enough.
It's your property, they have no reason to search.

You are incorrect. I said those are stereotype examples. You want to assume I held those beliefs as true because it helps your narrative and your mis guided beliefs that most cops are racist or corrupt.
I stand by everything I said. Try rereading and my stance has never wavered.

You clearly never said those are stereotype examples, read your **** again buddy. And even if that's the point you want to make, that is not comparable to corrupt cops. Did you see me state that corrupt cops or racist cops are only white? You brought up ethnicities here and idiotic stereotypes. There are CORRUPT COPS, period. Nothing to do with their race or colour... TERRORISTS aren't associated to religion/colour. the same with gang bangers or people who own 7/11. Come on man, you're a racist and it shows. peace.
But the small % doesn’t shape my view of them. And I apply that logic to every profession, race, religion. I don’t let a small few dictate what is really true of whole group. Not every black person is a gang banger. Not every white person racist honky. Not every Indian runs a 7/11. Not every middle eastern is a terrorist. I recommend you rethink letting stereotypes shape your views.

Well, as others have stated, it was not his home and police got a call for domestic violence. Don't need a warrant.

His girlfriend was living in the house, but it's in his name from my understanding.
It was an erroneous call, no proof of "domestic violence". She's not cooperating from my understanding.

So you lack reading comprehension? You don’t see the word NOT in front of everyone of those examples? Of course you don’t, it doesn’t fit your narrative. It doesn’t fit you reading someone pointing out how your beliefs expressed here are based on stereotypes. Maybe not the exact ones I used as examples, but fair for me to use those analogies when your view on cops presented here is a stereotypical misbelief. So continue trying to spin it so you can feel comfortable in your own skin — you do you and I will stand by unwavering what I said.
Here you go for another attempt at reading comprehension:But the small % doesn’t shape my view of them. And I apply that logic to every profession, race, religion. Have a link?
They have a right to be there, just not inside the house without a warrant. Otherwise, they need proof. Not just some random text.He wasn't even home as it turns out.A woman called 911 and said she received “disturbing” text messages from her cousin, who allegedly told her Hayes was “getting loud and violent”
