What’s great about Pelinka is he doesn’t feel it necessary to succumb to every one of Lebron’s wishes

Since we are so knowledgeable, what have been his wishes so far? Is wanting AD all on Bron? Can we INTELLIGENTLY me any others?

This is unforgivable Rob and FO.
No, but actually if they REALLY wanted him, I do believe he would be there and this is all lip service. AD even said in an interview Rob would call him and Lebron running potential roster moves by him, seemingly like an excited younger brother, so I can’t believe they’d draw the line at the 15th man on the team if he were preferred by the 2 cornerstones

So it appears he's joined the Mavs coaching staff, hadn't seen that mentioned. Duds wasn't great, but just and all around super solid player with a good attitude. And a smart enough player to make up for lack of athleticism. His playoff stint with the Nets was fire.

Shut up Jared.
Well, we at least know Lebron wantes him there, so is the conclusion that AD didn't for whatever reason or just didn't care?

Not relevant enough to be the most unlikable guy in the NBA, terrible stint with the Clippers though

Or maybe Lebron is letting Pelinka play bad cop on this one, so that he can maintain a relationship with a dude he likes.og15 wrote:Dez wrote:If LeBron and AD really wanted him then he'd be there still.

This movie is like the Rocky Horror Picture Show where everyone knows all the lines.

I’m with you in this one. There’s no way Pelinka doesn’t let Dudley stay if Lebron and AD want him as the 15th guy. Lebron is just paying lip service to a good friend as it also helps Dudley moving forward with getting roles/his reputation etc. I doubt they had as much sway with Dudley being hired as a coach though, that’s more Vogel’s decision then the players.

Y'all stupid.
if lebron and ad wanted him there, he'd still be there.
I think Lebron would tell everyone and Dudley he wanted him there, keep his good friend around, and then tell management it was time to move on.

Nah, Dudley and Kidd on a recruiting job and lure Luca into signing with the Lakers

I think it’s foolish to give him a roster spot but the question is if he has very little to offer as an assistant coach considering that he has a played for many other coaches gaining so much knowledge on different strategies and communicating/ motivating players etc.

Dallas has a 2 year window to fix the roster and get him another superstar and adequate role players, if not, he’ll pull a Harden..with a mysterious chronic injury or play with lack of focus and energy.
Before, I used to think players are powerless then PG(twice), AD, Harden and Westbrook happened.

Or maybe, just maybe AD and Lebron aren't as close to Dudley as they might make you believe.
