I hope he's not involved in any way, even for a few games. No one currently at BSWI is equipped to do PBP. We don't need a "name", just someone competent. BA had done minor league baseball and golf when he took over the Brewers TV job.

Fortunately it looks like Marques is coming back. We know Novak is likely to take over that role one day and it will be torturous.

My guess is LED will try to get a "name" which doesn't automatically mean it will be bad. But after Kidd and Gus I'd hope they have learned a lesson.

It would probably cost too much to get him out of his NBA portion of his TNT contract, but BA would be amazing with Marques. Imagine him doing Bucks games and then after the season, he meets up with the Brewers.

I think BA likes doing the national stuff and I doubt he'd give that up. The first round of the playoffs are on the local sports networks so he'd have a conflict with that but the rest of the playoffs are national only. He also does weekly baseball games on TBS, college hoops on BTN and has done some NFL. He'd have to pare some stuff back to do Bucks unless he wants no down time. And I think he'd choose Brewers over Bucks as he came up as a baseball guy. But it certainly wouldn't hurt to ask. I'd be fine finding a second PBP Bucks guy to do 20-30 games if they could find someone good. BA misses a lot of Brewer games and Matt LePay is a good replacement so find someone like that.

Ted Davis is good but he's older than Paschke and at 70 I don't know how much longer he'll be doing games.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I don't think BA would do it. Brewers + his national jobs seems like a sweet gig and I don't imagine him giving it up anytime soon. I don't know what his family situation is, but the only way I can imagine him doing it is if he swaps Brewers for Bucks because he wants a significantly pared back summer.

I think the most likely outcome is Davis + a younger person that can take over full time in a year or two

I don't listen to Davis much since I watch on TV but the times I've heard him I liked him. I agree, I could see him stepping in for a year or two. Then they'll find a new radio guy. Davis does the games solo on the road and with Krause at home. With the Brewers they have 2 radio guys in addition to Uecker (he only does home games now) and one of them (Jeff Levering) has shifted over to TV from time to time when BA and LePay are unavailable.

I wonder if Jeff Levering would come over from the Brewers. Has called college basketball for FS1 and BTN.

That's possible. He's in line to be the top radio guy for the Brewers when Uecker retires but maybe he prefers basketball?

I think Gus is a good pbp guy, I just want someone with a pro-Bucks tilt.

Levering would be an interesting choice. I genuinely have no idea what the answer to this question is, but he has no NBA experience and his only basketball experience is being fairly low on the depth chart at BTN/Fox Sports, how much is that held against him?

Semi-OT, but does anyone have the hilariously bad WTMJ app? Go look at the headlines, and half of them are usually sports-related, filled with misspellings and grammatical errors. Stale stories too. As I type this on Sunday morning, the most recent news article is from Friday night and describes their plans for streaming yesterday's Packer and Brewer games. Just an awful app for the most powerful station in the state.

Took me way too long to to realize this was not going to be a post about Semi-Ojele.

I'm impressed how behind the times this state remains, but not in a good way.

Brian Anderson would be my choice.
Ted Davis or Krause would be slick as well.

Guessing we get a bunch of Novak sprinkled in with some Zora combo this year. The Novak hate will be strong, Zora takes over the following year.

The basketball Gods were probably like, we'll give you guys a championship, but it's going to come at a steep price. You have to listen to Zora & Novak do Bucks games for the next 10 years.

Novak really ruffled some feathers a month or so back…I’m not sure what his future with the team will be

This would truly be the only logical scenario for another billboard to be put up…

Gross.

Man, these guys just play musical chai...err...stations, don't they? At one station for a few years, then leave to do something new (AKA, fired) and show up down the dial with the same shtick that got them canned before.

I haven't listened to local sports radio in years. Way too much crap to digest for the tiny amount of decent content.
