His testing was extremely similar to Cobb except he's 20 pounds heavier.

Oh, to be sure. I think almost all of us here thought Amari's pick as the probable gem of the Packer draft in April. I think after the high expectations of Springtime and watching his "meh" performance in the televised games, we're all a bit disappointed - to date. He's looked really ordinary, so far. I think we all want him to find the mojo, and soon.

Amari Rodgers can't get open. They finally got the ball to him on some rb type flare passes. (and one skinny post late against zone I think). Ugh. Went and looked up his speed and agility numbers and yikes. Dismal. He showed strength which is no surprise, but I'm not seeing it at all with that guy. With zero catch radius they are gonna have to scheme the hell out of plays to get him the ball, and even then he certainly doesn't look special with the ball in his hands. Before you say "he's a rookie and needs time" go look at his workout numbers. He's in the 30% range on anything to do with quickness and explosion and his 3 cone was on par with a LB.

He's seems like exactly the kind of player where it makes sense to wait to see how he looks in the real offense.

Would you say the same thing if he was a 6th Round pick ? That's what I asked myself.

I think pretty much everybody on offense (except O line), I wouldn't make a decision on them until I see them play with Rodgers. A whole bunch of people rave about Amari at Clemson, at the Senior Bowl, Camp...so I mean I could take a handful of looks playing with Benkert and Love in this game, or I could just wait and see.

Now Sternberger, I have seen play with 12 and I have now seen him play with his career on the line and he looks as lackadaisical as ever in all elements of the game.
