I hope they bring back Wiseman really slowly. He needs to get to the point where he can workout his legs again. Seems a bit top heavy now with chicken legs. Not Keon Clark level at least but still.

Hopefully he’s been doing a ton of core work along with upper body. Next year’s strength and conditioning goal: build that dump truck. If anything is going to hold this kid back that small ass will do it.

I think there's a reasonable chance Wiseman starts game 1 which is funny because last year I kept saying I didn't think he'd start game 1 (or should)

At least it seems like they see the light after seeing Ayton on how Wiseman should be used. Can only hope they have him focus on setting screens and rolling and being a finisher, rebound and play defense. No more post ups and shooting whenever the hell he feels like it.

There's nothing wrong with postups but the bare minimum he should be very good at what you listed

Yeah, I don't get it either. For me it's more like the opposite, maybe I should just buy the cut off arms and use those. I mean if you are actually practicing, moving around, you shouldn't be cold at all.

Anyway, Wiseman needs to get mean and throw a few elbows this year. He actually did a little of that just before he went down, hopefully he didn't forget it.

looks pretty much the same, his body has never really been his issue tho...he was always the biggest dude out there in HS and college. I have no doubt he'll be that in the NBA once his man body comes in

problem is everything else...its nice to see Kerr take notes from me on the Wiseman-Ayton comp tho...thats Wisemans path to success but Ayton is just more athletic overall and has infinitely better hands.

when you want to sweat extra but need your arms free, i train with them all the time.

He's actually ahead of the initial recovery time expectations for this type of repair. When he was first operated on, they didn't expect him to be back for training camp.

With most meniscus injuries, there are 2 paths that can be taken:
(A) Trim some of the cartilage away. Recovery time for this is quick (a few weeks), but long-term, this isn't good for the knee to lose some of the cushioning. It ultimately can help lead to arthritis and other issues.
(B) Repair the cartilage by stitching it back together. Recovery time is long (several months), but this is a much superior long-term solution because the cartilage remains whole.

With Wiseman, path B was selected. And his recovery has gone faster than normal, apparently.

Well, it's August, and though he's limited, he's already showing up physically on a basketball court. And there have been numerous reports (I'm just too lazy right now to Google one) saying that he's ahead of the original expectation. It was expected that he might miss training camp and even potentially the start of the season, and barring some kind of setback, he's going to be in training camp.
